There is more to the Calgary Stampede than the bucking broncos at the world's largest outdoor rodeo. Music is a major component of the renowned Stampede, long one of Canada's most popular annual summer events, and the recently announced lineup for this year's fest, running July 3-13, boasts major international and Canadian stars in a wide variety of genres.

One of the biggest shows during Stampede will be country superstar Shania Twain, at Scotiabank Saddledome on July 5, with local Devon Cole opening. Tickets are available here. Twain is doing double duty in Calgary, as she has been chosen to lead the 2025 Stampede Parade as Parade Marshal.

As expected, plenty of country superstars are included in the list of Stampede headliners, but so too are top Canadian rock bands Simple Plan and Arkells, Jack Antonoff's rock project Bleachers, Quebec darling Charlotte Cardin, diamond-selling R&B superstar Khalid, Diplo (as his country-music alter ego Diplo Presents: Thomas Wesley), U.S. soul/roots faves Lake Street Dive, EDM DJ/producer Alesso, Juno-nominated singer-songwriter Lauren Spencer-Smith and Icelandic blues-rock powerhouse Kaleo.

All these artists will appear on the Stampede’s Coca-Cola stage, with entry free with admission. Over 30 supporting acts include such notable names as Brandi Cyrus, Tinashe, Charlotte Day Wilson, The Cat Empire and Lights. It's a packed schedule of music. More than 150 artists in total will appear on 9 stages over the 11 days of Stampede. The Nashville North series features major country music stars from both sides of the border, including American headliners Cole Swindell, Chase Rice, Midland, Chayce Beckham and Drake Milligan, alongside homegrown favourites Tenille Townes, MacKenzie Porter, The Reklaws and Jade Eagleson. Canadian opening acts include Meghan Patrick, Cameron Whitcomb, Hailey Benedict and Drew Gregory.

Another major Calgary Stampede venue is The Big Four Roadhouse Bud Light Stage. From July 4-13, it will feature some big pop, rock, R&B and hip-hop names, including TLC and De La Soul, plus Lil Jon, Yung Gravy and Natasha Bedingfield. Of special note is the July 6 show, a special all-ages, ticketed concert featuring two of acclaimed rootsy singer-songwriters led bands, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and MJ Lenderman and the Wind, with The Paper Kites, Noeline Hofmann and Boy Golden in support.
