Shania Twain has made history.

Last Saturday, the country-pop singer broke a record at her Scotiabank Saddledome show, as this year’s headlining performance at the Calgary Stampede.

According to The Feldman Agency, Twain's sold-out concert — which was the only show held at the venue during the festivities — has become the highest-grossing show in Stampede history. Along with her performance, Twain served as the parade marshal for Friday’s Calgary Stampede Parade. It marked the Canadian icon’s return to the festival in over a decade.

During the parade, Shania shared with the attendees: “This is more of a personal exchange with Calgary, with the Stampede, and I’ll feel like this is my grand welcome.”

Stuart O’Connor, the Stampede president and board chair, raved about Twain as a headliner. "She truly embodied the grit, determination and passion that’s really so fundamental to the spirit of the Stampede," he told the Calgary Herald. "As a literal Canadian music icon, you could tell how much she meant to so many folks."

On social media, Twain shared a heartfelt sentiment, reflecting on her Stampede appearance and performance. "What a weekend!! I don’t even know where to begin - Calgary, you guys have a special place in my heart ❤️,” she wrote on Instagram.

Twain’s performance in Calgary precedes a series of live tour dates for the Windsor, Ontario, native, which includes six Canadian shows. She will perform at Quebec City festival FEQ on July 12 and Ottawa Bluesfest on July 13.
