Karan Aujla’s ‘P-Pop Culture’ Earns Historic Debut, Enters Billboard Canadian Albums Chart At No. 3
With 12.4 million streams, Aujla’s record marks the highest debut for a Punjabi-language album in Canadian history, a record that surpasses his 2023 album Making Memories.

The Punjabi powerhouse’s new album, P-Pop Culture, debuts at No. 3 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, dated September 6.
A bold fusion of Punjabi pop and hip-hop, P-Pop Culture is a tribute to the soil that raised Aujla and a call to the world to embrace the new wave of Punjabi artists. He balances pop melodies drenched in love and nostalgia with impactful hip-hop bars.
In Canada, the record earned 12.4 million streams, marking the highest debut for a Punjabi-language album in Canadian history — a record that surpasses Aujla’s 2023 album Making Memories.
Aujla announced his new album, P-Pop Culture, in Montreal on July 27, releasing the album’s lead single “Gabhru!” days later — it debuted at No. 46 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, continuing his chart hot streak.
Off the album, the track "For A Reason" is striking a chord online — the music video has been viewed over 40 million times since its release and is the No. 1 trending video on YouTube Canada.

This week, Britpop group Oasis is re-entering the chart after their two-night stint in Toronto last week. Their iconic 1995 album, (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, emerges at No. 42.
After a 16-year hiatus, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher returned to North America on their Oasis Live ’25 tour, which kicked off at the city’s new venue, Rogers Stadium.
(What's The Story) Morning Glory? boasts some of the duo’s biggest hits, including “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova,” the former of which peaked at No. 8 on the U.S. Hot 100.
Canadian artists are holding their own on the albums chart. After Tate McRae’s string of cross-country dates on her first-ever arena tour, So Close to What sits at No. 8, while 2023’s Think Later is at No. 38.
The Weeknd and Justin Bieber maintain their spots in the top 10 with the former’s second greatest hits album, The Highlights, rising 5-4, while Bieber’s Swag drops 4-9. Further down, The Weeknd remains in the top 30, with Hurry Up Tomorrow at No. 28.
Despite Drake’s preceding week's chart rise, he’s now taking a hit. His collaborative album with PartyNext Door, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, drops 24-36, alongside three of Drake's solo projects, including Take Care, down four spots to No. 54, Views at No. 65 and Certified Lover Boy declines 85-90. For All The Dogs re-entered the chart last week and has risen from 93-87 — all have previously peaked at No. 1.
At the top of the chart, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack notches the top spot for a third week after dethroning Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem to No. 2.
