Karan Aujla is back in the top 10.

His new track “At Peace” with producer and frequent collaborator Ikky debuts at No. 8 on the Canadian Hot 100 this week, dated July 12. The Punjabi hip-hop track was released on June 26 with a visual effects-heavy music video that racked up over five million views on YouTube in its first day. It currently has more than 27 million views. With a catchy and hard-hitting beat courtesy of Ikky and Take a Daytrip and eye-catching visuals, it's easy to see why the track has been on repeat for so many listeners.

“At Peace” is the B.C.-based artist's second top 10 entry on his home country's Hot 100 chart after “Wavy” peaked at No. 7 last year. It’s not the first time Aujla and Ikky have seen chart success together either. Back in March, they teamed up with OneRepublic and Disha Patani for “Tell Me,” a collaboration that debuted at No. 54 on the Canadian Hot 100 in March. Their joint album Making Memories also debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart back in 2023, a pivotal moment in what Billboard Canada then termed the Punjabi Wave.

Aujla is having a good year on the chart. He also landed “Courtside” on the Canadian Hot 100 this year, which peaked at No. 28. It currently spends its eight week on the chart, rising from No. 87 to 73.

K-pop continues to have a big moment on the charts for a second consecutive week off the back of the popularity of the Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack, which debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and Canadian Albums chart last week.

Three new songs from the animated Netflix series' soundtrack debut on the Canadian Hot 100 this week: “Free” by Rumi, JINU, EJAE & Andrew Choi at No. 55, “Takedown” by HUNTR/X, EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami at No. 61 and “Takedown” by JEONGYEON, JIHYO and CHAEYOUNG at No. 83.

Several other tracks are new to the Canadian Hot 100 this week:

  • Lorde’s “Shapeshifter” enters at No. 79 following the release of her album Virgin
  • Don Toliver bows in at No. 82 with “FWU"
  • Ella Langly and HARDY enter at No. 87 with “Never Met Anyone Like You”
  • PinkPantheress’ “Illegal” debuts at No. 88 following its virality on TikTok
  • KATSEYE land a third entry on the chart with “Gameboy”
  • Lewis Capaldi debuts “Survive” at No. 92

Billboard Canada Backstage 2025: Interviews With Simple Plan, Gigi Perez, Loud Luxury, bbno$ & More

From breakthrough performers to established names, Billboard Canada's Billboard Backstage series got up close and personal with artists as they passed through Canadian stages, festivals and tour stops. Watch video interviews with Naomi Sharon, Quadeca, James Hype, Durand Bernarr and many more.

Not every interesting moment happens on stage. Some of the most revealing conversations take place just before or after the set — when artists are fresh off a performance, thinking ahead to what’s next, or reflecting on how they arrived there. Those moments unfolded across festivals and tour stops in Canada, offering snapshots of artists at different points in their journey, and Billboard Canada was there to capture it in Billboard Backstage.

Collected here, these interviews bring together a broad range of Canadian and international artists, spanning genres and stages of career. From Osheaga mainstage performers to rising artists and global touring acts, the series captures how artists engaged with Canadian audiences throughout 2025.
