The ADÉLA hype is coming to Toronto.

The rising Slovak singer is bringing a special one-day pop-up to the Canadian city on Sept. 10 at RCHIVE on 780 King St W, commemorating the release of her debut record Prima, which dropped last week (Sept. 4). The shop will allow fans to buy exclusive merch and participate in different fan activations, with the first 100 guests who make a purchase receiving a complimentary pink drink.

The pop-up will be open from 11 am to 8 pm and double as an all-day dance party, while also including photo opportunities and other gifts for fans who stop by, while supplies last. The event will set the tone for ADÉLA's first-ever Toronto headline show, a sold-out gig at the Phoenix Concert Theatre the following day (Sept. 11).

ADÉLA has become one of 2026's hottest new names after catching a breakthrough with the third single for Prima, "Ain't In LA." After being teased with posters in various cities and released in late July, the inspirational song about having large ambitions while being from a smaller town quickly became a hit and landed on the Billboard charts. The track currently sits at No. 53 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 (dated Sept. 5) after peaking at No. 52 the previous week. ADÉLA also peaked at No. 61 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, continuing to live her song's truth after it made her the first-ever Slovak artist to enter the chart.

Toronto first got its first taste of the Slovak artist this spring when she hit the road as the opener for Demi Lovato's It's Not That Deep Tour, which included a stop at Scotiabank Arena on April 20. Since premiering songs like "Ain't In LA" at those shows, she's played some of the world's biggest stages, including festivals like Lollapalooza in Chicago in August and Reading and Leeds in the U.K., all in the lead-up to her debut LP.

“I want this album to sound exactly like a 22-year-old girl,” she says of the record. “A lot of s--t's happening in my life—which is the nature of being a young woman. At my age, you either hear, ‘She’s really deep,’ or, ‘She’s funny and doesn’t take anything seriously.’ I tried to express both sides. I mixed the hard with the soft, the vulnerable with the swag of it all, and the muscular beats with the feminine energy. I did exactly what I wanted to.”

The singer celebrated the new album's release by dropping a glitzy Hannah Lux Davis-directed music video for "Nicole Kidman," a lush track which features a thumping hip-hop beat backed by pitched-up soul vocals. The soft-spoken single is an ode to confidence and living lavish in which the rising artist boasts that she "feels like Nicole," paying homage to the Australian-American actress.

ADÉLA is now having her star moment years after first entering the spotlight as a contestant on HYBE and Geffen Records' reality competition show Dream Academy, which searched for contestants to form a "global girl group" that would eventually become KATSEYE. Toronto is one of the first dates on her sold-out Red Bottoms tour across North America, which kicks off tomorrow (Sept. 9) and makes another Canadian stop in Montreal on Sept. 12, before continuing in the U.S. and Mexico through October.

In his new role the younger Blavatnik, who has held several roles at the company in recent years, and has been a board member since 2023, expects to “unify and drive business and operational strategy across these markets while guiding the company’s investment strategy to support growth,” according to a press release.

The Blavatnik announcement is part of a flurry of new executive announcements that CEO Robert Kyncl made this morning.
