“Wrote this with a Cartier pen, do I sound different?” Drake asks on “Landed” — and that pen is what makes him believe that he’s one of the strongest writers of his generation.

Drizzy hosted night two of three while streaming for Stake on Kick with BenDaDonnn on Monday (Dec. 22), which saw him give his mentor Lil Wayne his flowers and then flex his own songwriting prowess for viewers.

“I wouldn’t be s—t without Wayne,” Drake bluntly stated. Ben joked that Drizzy pulled inspiration from himself and Wayne to write.

“I don’t even know if you could write one bar for me without people being like, ‘Yo, that’s not Drake,'” the 6 God fired back. “Brother, you can’t pronounce English words. How can you write for me? I’m really, I’m one of the most profound writers of our time.”

However, Drake credited Ben with giving him a pep talk that provided some inspiration creatively heading into upcoming album Iceman.

“You did inspire me, though, on the album,” he added. “You gave me a pep talk one night. We ain’t talking about that, though.”

On Sunday’s (Dec. 21) livestream, Drake hinted that he’s still working on Iceman, which remains without a release date heading into 2026. “We’re focused,” he said. “I know what you’re waiting on, so trust me. We’re cheffing.”

As far as his pen goes, it’s tough to argue against the OVO hitmaker when he’s compiled a record 362 Billboard Hot 100 entries, which include 81 top 10s and 13 No. 1 hits among them.

From DJ Khaled to Kendrick Lamar, Here’s Everyone Drake Appeared to Diss on ‘Iceman’

The 6 God returned with three new albums on Friday (May 15).

Freeze the world. After seeing peers cross him and taking lashes from rap fans for the better part of two years following Drake’s battle with Kendrick Lamar, the 6 God had plenty to say.

Or as Drizzy put it on Iceman opener, “Make Them Cry”: “I’m in the cut just loading rebuttals.” With the weight of Canada on his shoulders, Drake had a lot to get off his chest and the OVO boss addressed just about everything and everyone on Iceman.
