Felix Cartal & Rêve are dancing onto the charts.

The duo’s track “Dancing in a Dream” debuts at No. 100 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, dated Nov. 22.

“Dancing in a Dream” marks the first-ever collaboration from Vancouver-based electronic music producer Felix Cartal and Canadian dance-pop sensation Rêve. The high-energy, yet deeply introspective dance track is penned by both artists and is featured on Cartal’s forthcoming album, i, sabotage, released last month.

It blends Cartal’s signature crisp production with Rêve’s captivating vocals, creating a sonic landscape that is both euphoric and thought-provoking.

The track delves into the blurred lines between escapism and emotional detachment. It’s a theme Rêve describes as "toeing the line between losing yourself in the moment and numbing reality, something the dance floor so often provides."

She continues: "The right song can evoke a feeling of transcendence that is ‘dream-like,’ which we really wanted to harness in this song.”

On his website, Cartal shared details about the creative process. “This song has been extremely creatively fulfilling as i’ve taken a bigger role in directing the music video on top of doing all the music production as well,” he wrote. “Rêve absolutely killed it vocally and her performance in the music video is one of a kind. I feel fortunate to work with such talented people that not only inspire me, but allow me to be creative as well.”

The pair’s song has been a hit on Billboard Canada Airplay charts, currently sitting on CHR/Top 40 and Hot AC.

Pop icon Hilary Duff is marking her comeback on the charts in a major way.

The singer’s new song “Mature” arrives on the Canadian Hot 100 at No. 57.

It's a sardonic, shimmering track in the form of autofiction inspired by romantic misadventures in Duff's formative years. It’s set against bright pop production and layered with Duff’s signature wit and vulnerability. It marks her first charting song in a decade — Duff’s last entry on the chart was “Sparks," which peaked at No. 63.

“‘Mature’ is a little conversation that my present self is having with my younger self,” says Duff. “The two of us are reflecting on a past experience and sending love to each other. It’s a chuckle, a wink, and a sense of being grateful that we are sure footed in where we landed.”

Celebrating the release of her new single, the multiplatinum global superstar will return to the stage with a very special run of intimate live shows next year, including a stop at Toronto’s History on Jan. 24.

The track follows the news of Duff’s upcoming docuseries, which will chronicle her long-awaited musical return and personal journey, offering an unfiltered vignette into her world.

This week, Canadian artists are making a surge on the charts. Following Tate McRae’s So Close to What Deluxe announcement, McRae’s hit “Tit For Tat” rises 20-19, while the Grammy-nominated “Just Keep Watching” climbs 44-41. Justin Bieber’s “Yukon” moves up 10 spots to No. 56. Country singers Nate Haller and Tenille Townes rise 79-77 with “Backfire.”
