Shubh Teases Arena Tour as 'Supreme' Debuts on Billboard Canadian Hot 100
Josh Ross also lands a new entry on the chart with "Hate How You Look" at No. 79.

Shubh
Shubh is making moves on stage and on the charts.
The Punjabi Canadian rapper from Brampton has a new entry on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart dated May 3, with single "Supreme" debuting at No. 54.
At the same time, he's teasing a possible arena tour. On Monday (April 28), he posted four show locations on his Instagram story: Scotiabank Arena in Toronto; Rogers Arena in Vancouver; Oakland Arena in Oakland, California; and Prudential Center in New Jersey. There are no dates accompanying the venues as of yet, but that would be a major feat for an artist so early in his career.
"Supreme" is a brand new single, hot on the heels of Shubh's January full-length release Sicario. That album debuted at No. 24 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, and Shubh is already following it up with the ominous instrumental and fluid flows of "Supreme."
He had a major hit last year with "King Shit," which reached No. 13 on the Canadian Hot 100; he's also making time for work outside of music, serving as the global ambassador for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change's Digital Climate Library.
As Punjabi music gains more popularity in Canada and internationally — commenters on the "Supreme" video range from America to Ghana — Shubh seems like he's just getting started.
Canadian country breakout Josh Ross also has a new entry on the chart this week. "Hate How You Look" is a brand new single that enters at No. 79, joining his "Leave Me Too" which moves up 63-59. The song is a breakup banger, with Ross chronicling all the tell-tale signs that an ex is moving on.
After scoring five nominations at the Junos this year and winning for country album of the year, Ross is also becoming one of the country's most reliable new charting artists, alongside artists like Tate McRae and Cameron Whitcomb.

At the top of the chart this week, Alex Warren notches a third week leading with "Ordinary," while Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club" holds at No. 2. Neither are in the top two on the U.S. Hot 100, where Kendrick Lamar's "Luther" reigns and Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars sit at No. 2 with "Die With a Smile," marking a continuing streak where the two charts aren't lining up. But "Ordinary" has hit No. 3 south of the border, meaning it could make a play for the top before long.
