A new Canadian pop collab is making a strong showing on the radio charts this week.

Shawn Desman and Jamie Fine score two chart debuts for "Body," entering at No. 26 on the CHR/Top 40 chart and No. 34 on Hot AC, for the charts dated April 12.

The dance-pop track is an ode to infatuation, and is the latest in a series of comeback releases for Desman. The Toronto singer and dancer rose to national prominence in the early 2000s with an R&B sound, and after a break from the industry, he's been making a resurgence.

That comeback was encouraged by Drake, who invited Desman to perform at his 2022 All Canadian North Stars OVO Fest, bolstering Desman to release new music. 2022 single "Maniac" went on to chart on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.

Now he's collaborating with one of the biggest rising names in Canadian pop, Jamie Fine, whose "If Anything's Left" was one of the biggest homegrown hits of 2023 and her song "you're like" finished on the year-end 2024 Canadian Airplay chart. "Body" evidently has the recipe for Canadian radio.

Desman also has some summer dates booked, including a headlining slot at Toronto's CNE Bandshell Stage on August 15.

Canadian artists are scoring plenty of strong entries on the radio charts this week.

On the All-Format chart, Saskatchewan country singer Jess Moskaluke enters with a country-living anthem "Life For Me" at No. 40. Moskaluke previously hit No. 1 on the Canada Country chart with "Country Girls," and "Life For Me" is rising on that chart too, moving up 25-21 this week. On that chart, Dallas Smith's "CRZY" hits a new peak at No. 6, jumping into the top ten.

Over on the Mainstream Rock chart, Toronto vintage rockers Live Animals enter with "This Ether" at No. 33 and Kitchener, Ontario rock group Feral Minks arrive with "Matador" at No. 36.

On Modern Rock, The Beaches make a No. 35 debut with their new single "Last Girls at the Party," which comes ahead of their new album No Hard Feelings. The band played the single during their Coachella set this past weekend, bringing up co-writer G Flip to lend some high energy to the performance.

On the same chart, Halifax duo Pillow Fite re-enter with "A Friend" at No. 38, for a ninth week on the chart.

At the top of the radio charts, Gracie Abrams' "That's So True" is a new No. 1 on the All-Format chart, as Jelly Roll's "Liar" moves to No. 2 and Cameron Whitcomb's "Quitter" hits No. 3.

Myles Smith's "Stargazing" holds atop AC Airplay, as does Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club" on CHR/Top 40, and ROSÉ & Bruno Mars' "APT." on Hot AC. Blake Shelton's "Texas" moves up to No. 1 on Canada Country, while Three Days Grace continue to lead Mainstream Rock with "Mayday" and Mumford and Sons ascend to the top of Modern Rock with "Rushmere."
