Vancouver's Felix Cartal & Fionn are leading “The Way” on the Billboard Canada Airplay charts.

The acclaimed DJ and the rising twin-sister duo’s first-ever collaboration arrives on the CHR/Top 40 Airplay chart at No. 25, dated June 6.

The song is an electronic reworking of Fastball's 1998 Big Shiny Tunes hit "The Way." In an interview with Billboard Canada ahead of his Billboard Canada LIVE performance, Cartal shared that he's often looking for "lowkey hits" to modernize (similar to what he did with "Get What You Give"). Fastball’s original chord progression reminded him of French electronic duo Polo & Pan, prompting him to ground the song in its “whimsical” world.

With Cartal’s signature bass-heavy dance production, fellow Vancouver artists Fionn bring in their melodic vocal deliveries that feel utterly nostalgic. “The Way” joins the list of Cartal’s acclaimed collaborations with Canadian pop artists, including Lights, Tegan and Sara and others.

Elsewhere, Fionn score their own entry on Modern Rock with “I Put My Makeup On,” at No. 9, which previously peaked at No. 7. The duo is no stranger to the chart, spending three weeks at No. 1 with “Blow” last year.

Fionn play their own Billboard Canada LIVE show at NXNE on June 10 at The Rivoli. Tickets here.

Shania Twain’s comeback single, “Dirty Rosie,” makes its Canada Country debut, landing at No. 57. Marking the singer’s first song in three years — which she initially teased on social media — it’s the first offering from Twain’s forthcoming album, Little Miss Twain, out next month.

It’s a gritty country-rock track that highlights the story of a lover who can drive her crazy but can’t drive her beloved truck. “You can drive a Hummer in the summer. You can even drive the ladies in my Mercedes. But you can't drive my truck,” she sings with her classic country twang.

The Canadian hitmaker shares that Little Miss Twain is sonically “reflective” of what she listened to as a teen, blending “the energy of the rock and R&B I loved so much” while still leaning into her modern country sound.

On Modern Rock, Metric rises to No. 1 with “Victim of Luck” after spending 16 weeks on the chart. It’s a notable feat for the Toronto indie rockers, who have been making music since the late ‘90s — the subject of their newest chart-topping track.

“You can be as much a victim of good luck as bad," says frontwoman Emily Haines. "When we started out, yes, we were broke and we were playing to ten people and there was nothing for us to fall back on, but we refused to give up.”

Bob Sinclar & Kiesza score the only other CHR/Top 40 debut with their reimagining of Nu Shooz’s ‘80s hit “I Can’t Wait!” at No. 39. Over on Hot AC, Alex Porat’s “Kissing You” arrives at No. 40.

Cameron Whitcomb’s vulnerable hit “Kingdom of Fear” notches two separate entries on Country and Mainstream Rock at No. 58 and No. 38, respectively. Two spots down on the latter chart, Crown Lands hits No. 40 with “Blackstar.” At the top of that chart, Nickelback holds down the top spot with “Bones for the Crows.”

Bruno Mars continues his chart-topping reign on All-Format, AC and Hot AC with “I Just Might,” while Olivia Dean finds that it’s “So Easy To Fall In Love” with the top spot on CHR/Top, rising 2-1.

While Ella Langley’s “Be Her” spends a second week at No. 1 on Country, Tucker Wetmore’s “Brunette” rises 4-2.
