Five years after the release of the first posthumous Mac Miller album, the rapper’s family has revealed the track listing for his Ballonerism LP. According to a graphic posted on Tuesday (Jan. 7), the 14-track album, due out on January 17, will include a feature from SZA on the song “DJ’s Chord Organ.”

The collection that kicks off with “Tambourine Dream,” will also spotlight the tracks “5 Dollar Pony Rides,” “Friendly Hallucinations,” “Mrs. Deborah Downer,” “Stoned,” “Manakins” and “Rick’s Piano.” The release will come on the fifth anniversary of 2020’s Circles, which was released two years after Miller’s death in September 2018 from a accidental drug overdose.

When Balloonerism was announced last year, Miller’s family issued a statement explaining why they are releasing the project. “Many of Malcolm’s fans are aware of Balloonerism, a full length album that Malcolm created around the time of the release of Faces in 2014,” they wrote. “It is a project that was of great importance to Malcolm — to the extent that he commissioned artwork for it and discussions concerning when it should be released were had regularly, though ultimately [2015’s] GO:OD AM and subsequent albums ended up taking precedence.”

They added, “We believe the project showcases both the breadth of his musical talents and fearlessness as an artist. Given that unofficial versions of the album have been circulating online for years and that releasing Balloonerism was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him, we felt it most appropriate to present an official version of the project to the world.”

Ballonerism will drop just two days before what would have been the MC’s 33rd birthday.

Nora Fatehi and Jason Derulo Join Forces for ‘Snake’: Inside the Globe-Spanning Collaboration

Fatehi, a Canadian-Moroccan Bollywood superstar, hopes the new single "introduces me to the international market in a very unique way," while Derulo preps new music of his own.

Nora Fatehi and Jason Derulo have kicked off 2025 with a single designed to combine cultures. On Thursday (Jan. 16), the Bollywood superstar and veteran hitmaker unveiled “Snake,” a thumping dance collaboration that joins East Asian melodies with American dance-pop production, creating a sensual duet with global aspirations.

Fatehi tells Billboard that the track came courtesy of a discussion with producer Tommy Brown (Ariana Grande, Victoria Monét) about finding a sound that could unite audiences in different regions of the world. “My main word was ‘exotic,’ and I wanted to make sure that it was dance-oriented — that whoever heard the song would want to move,” she recalls. “And after finishing the song, we were thinking about which artist would really be a good collaborator, and Jason’s name came up. And I’ve been a fan, and someone who’s really appreciated his journey, for a very long time.”
