Shania Twain is loving Sabrina Carpenter!

The country superstar took to her Instagram Stories to repost a video in which Carpenter is seen covering her 1997 hit, “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” during her Short n’ Sweet tour stop in Toronto on Wednesday night (Sept. 25). The cover was performed at the part of the show in which Carpenter delivers a random cover decided by a wheel of fortune. The performance was even more fitting, as Twain is an Ontario native.

On the red carpet for the People’s Choice Country Awards, which Twain hosted, the singer told E! that she loved Carpenter’s tribute. “It’s just a huge compliment. I mean she’s such a talented person! She’s smart, so it’s a compliment,” she gushed of Carpenter.

“It’s a really full-circle experience for me,” Twain told Billboard of hosting the event. “It takes me back to my own beginnings in Nashville and as a new recording artist there, and obviously the historic location is always appealing. After news of James Van Der Beek’s death at age 48, Kesha is looking back fondly on her time with the Dawson’s Creek actor, when the pair co-starred in her “Blow” music video.

On Wednesday (Feb. 11), Kesha took to her Instagram Stories to share two photos with the actor — one in which Van Der Beek is pointing at the pop star and one of the pair embracing — and simply adding red heart emojis over each pic. The photos were taken on a Las Vegas red carpet in May 2011, three months after the debut of their “Blow” music video.
