K-pop is having a big week on the Billboard Canada charts from an unexpected source.

The new Netflix animated musical fantasy KPop Demon Hunters has multiple debuts on the Canadian Hot 100, dated July 5. “Golden” at No. 63, “How It’s Done” at No. 79, and “What It Sounds Like” at No. 95.

Fronted by fictional girl group HUNTR/X, the real artists behind the fantastical songs are K-pop artists EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami. While “Golden” and “How It’s Done” lean into the bubblegum K-pop sound, “What It Sounds Like” leads with a downtempo ballad that moves into a punchy, upbeat moment.

The love for KPop Demon Hunters has expanded beyond singles, with the entire soundtrack debuting at No.8 on the Billboard 200 and No. 9 on the Canadian Albums chart. KPop Demon Hunters has been a smash for Netflix since its June 20 release, and it's very possible this could be just the beginning for the soundtrack on the charts.

Fellow girl group, KATSEYE (a K-pop influenced group, but based in Los Angeles with members from around the world) are also debuting at No. 57 on the Canadian Hot 100 with their new track “Gabriela.” Co-written by Charli xcx, the Latin-tinged R&B pop track chronicles a woman who begs another not to steal her man away. It’s the second song off their forthcoming album, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS. The group’s lead single, “GNARLY,” rises 76-78 on the chart.

Alex Warren notches a 12th week on the chart and stays at No. 1 "Ordinary," while Shaboozey’s immortal "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" rises 4-3, bumping down Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild.” After briefly being dethroned by Carpenter on the Hot 100, Warren sits at No. 1 for a fourth week.

On the Canadian Albums chart, Morgan Wallen coasts for a sixth week at No. 1 with I’m The Problem. Pop sensation Benson Boone has a big debut at No. 2 with American Heart but can't quite displace the country juggernaut.
