Karan Aujla has released a new single titled “At Peace” in collaboration with longtime producer and creative partner Ikky.

The track dropped on June 26 via Rehaan Records and is accompanied by a high-concept music video directed by Rupan Bal.

The single continues the duo’s successful partnership, following previous releases like “Softly” and “52 Bars.”

According to the official YouTube description, the track is “blending Aujla’s melodic flow with Ikky’s crisp production, ‘At Peace’ leans into a darker, cinematic tone, backed by haunting instrumentals and polished visuals.”

The video, heavy on VFX and narrative atmosphere, quickly grabbed attention on YouTube and social media, earning over 5 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours.

“It’s gangsta, emotional, and cinematic all at once,” one YouTube user commented after the release. “Definitely brings back that OG Karan Aujla energy.”

The release comes as Aujla continues to build his reputation as one of the most successful Punjabi artists on the global stage.

In 2024, his single “Wavy” peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, making it his first top 10 hit in Canada. His collaboration with OneRepublic and Ikky, “Tell Me,” debuted at No. 54 earlier this year.

In 2023, the Aujla-Ikky joint album Making Memories debuted at No. 5 on the Canadian Albums Chart and has since been certified Gold in Canada.

Aujla also made waves last year with “Tauba Tauba,” which topped the Billboard India and U.K. charts and entered the Canadian Hot 100. His consistent crossover appeal has made him a fixture in both diaspora communities and mainstream charts.

Ikky, the producer behind 4N Records and known for working with artists like Diljit Dosanjh, AP Dhillon and Jonita Gandhi, is still exploring new sounds and helping Punjabi music grow in fresh directions.

While “At Peace” is still early in its chart cycle, the song is already trending across Punjabi music playlists and has sparked speculation about a possible upcoming project from the duo.

The all-star collective's new album, The Great Lakes Suite, also features Laurie Anderson and the late Gord Downie.

Thirty years ago, Toronto’s Rheostatics went high-concept with Music Inspired by the Group of Seven, a National Gallery of Canada commission to pay homage to early 20th century Canadian landscape painters. It was an arty and abstract conceptual piece, incorporating free-form composition and recorded dialogue from the painters and historical figures such as Britain’s Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

Ever since then, the band’s Dave Bidini tells Billboard, “We’ve always bandied about, ‘How can we do something like that again?’ So we’ve been searching for a while, and one night I literally had my head on the pillow, and I thought about the Great Lakes.”
