Bleeker
The Canadian rock band’s radio hit arrives at No. 27 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Plus: Alex Sampson’s “Misery” debuts on All-Format and Adult Contemporary charts.

The anthemic track debuts at No. 27 on the Billboard Canada Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, dated Aug. 1.
With a gritty hook and a driving rhythm, it’s a straight-up rock song in the Orillia, Ontario band’s catalogue. The group — comprised of brothers Taylor and Cole Perkins, Mike Van Dyk and Chris Dima — channel a forward-looking approach, seemingly built on the belief that stepping into the unknown is essential for growth.
“Great Unknown” is firmly grounded in the alt-rock space, as Bleeker leans into their most direct message, delivering a song that oozes with optimism. Taylor, the group’s frontman, shares that a demo of the track and its message resonated with friends, prompting them to get in the studio to officially record it.
“I think we all really want to believe the promise of what’s on the other side belongs to the brave ones who keep walking into the unknown and the people getting their hands dirty climbing out of the valley with nothing but grit and belief,” he explains. “We really believe in that.”
Further up on the same chart, Evanescence’s track “Who Will You Follow” holds down the No. 1 spot.
Singer-songwriter Alex Sampson’s “Misery” is debuting on two charts: All-Format at No. 46 and AC at No. 30.
Back in May, the song had its Airplay chart debut on CHR/Top 40. In its 11th week on the chart, it sits at No. 25. It’s a major feat for the Atikokan, Ontario native, who was an America’s Got Talent semifinalist in the mid-2010s. Now, he's landing on the radio charts in his home country.
Emotionally charged, Sampson’s “Misery” transforms the intensity of heartbreak into a powerful release. “It’s the song with the most energy and the one I want to play over and over again,” he explains, revealing that he found the writing process to be “honestly therapeutic.”
This week, Francophone artists are hitting the airwaves. Les Cowboys Fringants alum JF Pauzé arrives at No. 29 on AC with “Emmele Dans Ses Ch'veux.” Over on Hot AC, Gabriel Fredette’s “Le Bon Choix” debuts at No. 40.
“Time Machine,” the comeback single from vocal powerhouse TALK, arrives at No. 30 on CHR/Top 40. It’s already a hit on multiple Airplay charts, including All-Format, Hot AC, Mainstream Rock and Modern Rock. On the latter ranking, it has reached the top 5, sitting at No. 4 — that chart is topped by Death Cab for Cutie’s “Riptides.”
Meanwhile, three country stars make their debut on Canada Country. Andrew Hyatt and Meghan Patrick’s duet “Time After Time” debuts at No. 56, and Danielle Ryan’s “Done Is Done” arrives three spots down, at No. 59.
At the top, Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” holds down the top All-Format spot, while Sombr’s “Homewrecker” climbs to No. 2. Olivia Dean finds it “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” with the No. 1 spot on Hot AC, alongside Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead” on CHR/Top 40. On Hot AC, Tame Impala & JENNIE’s “Dracula” spends another week at No. 1.
There’s a bit of a shake-up on Country, as Jason Aldean’s “Don't Tell On Me” jumps from No. 3 to No. 1, followed by Kane Brown’s “Woman,” which climbs 4-2. Previous No. 1 spotholder Luke Combs drops to No. 3 with “Be By You.”
