M for Montreal’s lineup has gotten even bigger.
Today, Montreal festival and conference, which is partnered with Billboard Canada, has unveiled the full lineup for its artist showcases today (Sept. 2). The final programming has added several rising Canadian stars across numerous genres, including Montreal rapper Skiifall, genre-fusing R&B-punk artist 646yf4t, Nova Scotian and alt-rock singer Loviet, alt-punk singer Cam Kahin and many more, who will play storied venues in Montreal from Nov. 18 to 21.
646yf4t, Daniel Caesar’s younger brother, has continued to make waves with his defiance of genres. His unique mix of R&B with alternative and punk energy made for a stellar set at the inaugural Billboard Canada R&B LIVE showcase during NXNE in Toronto in June. Loviet also returns to the stage after releasing her six-track EP Debutante back in April, a project that was self-made with a much more rustic approach, and playing her first Toronto headline show in June. "[My band & I] love to play live," she told Billboard Canada ahead of the performance. "We're always going to show up and do it well. It influences a lot of what I do — just a drive to be on a stage."

They join a diverse lineup of names playing the festival’s public "Festival" program, including the viral sovereignist Quebec rapper Kinji00, novel French medieval techno DJ Perceval and post-punk outfit TVOD. There’s also this year’s Official Selection, a group of 28 artists presented by Billboard Canada and chosen through the festival’s official curation process. R&B singer Lou Val, singer-songwriter Dominique Way and more are among the acts handpicked to play in front of over 500 music industry delegates from Canada and around the world, including labels, agents, media, programmers and other key industry figures.
M for Montreal continues to be a discovery opportunity for rising artists, having served as a rendezvous between talent and business for over 20 years by hosting artist showcases in tandem with discussion panels and networking opportunities through its Pro Division, presented by Billboard Canada. The festival's 2026 edition is taking over several storied local venues, including Club Soda, MTELUS, Foufounes Électriques and SAT, intimate venues that have been played by international acts before they upgrade to arena-sized venues. With this year's programming, Kinji00's show is presented by the independent management company Maison Pingouin and Perceval's gig is partnered with the Francos de Montréal festival, showcasing M for Montreal's mission to foster connections between artists and local music companies.

M for Montreal remains committed to spotlighting talent coming out of Quebec and Canada to export it globally. The festival has notably helped launch big names like Mac DeMarco, Charlotte Cardin and Grimes ahead of their breakthroughs. Last year, the festival booked Angine de Poitrine as an Official Selection name for an intimate showcase at the 450-capacity venue Ausgang Plaza, which subsequently earned them two international bookings several months before their global breakthrough gained full momentum.
"Angine de Poitrine captures the spirit of what M for Montreal embodies: the power to turn local momentum into international opportunity," M for Montreal's artistic director/music programmer Mikey Rishwain Bernard and international strategic alliances manager Lori Éthier told Billboard Canada. "Their showcase helped propel the band into 2026 with new international booking representation and key industry connections."
