Billboard Canada and W Montreal teamed up for an event the city is still buzzing about.

On July 31, Billboard Canada LIVE came to Montreal for the first time at the W Montreal with a special intimate DJ set from Quebec electronic musician CRi. He was supported by local Montreal DJ Andrea de Tour, who delivered a pulsating house set to open the night. Guests were treated to a selection of signature cocktails courtesy of Patrón tequila.

The W Montreal's lobby bar, the Living Room, filled up quickly with enthusiastic partiers who danced for the whole night. With the DJ booth set up in the middle of the room, fans surrounded CRi while he reacted off their warm energy.

The artist kept the intimate crowd entranced with songs from his own progressive house discography, like the Charlotte Cardin collaboration "Fous N'importe Où," while also spinning tracks from artists as diverse as deadmau5 and Cher.

CRi has an intimate connection with Montreal, playing huge shows at festivals like Osheaga and the Montreal Jazz Festival, where he was the first-ever electronic DJ to headline. Used to playing mega-sets for crowds of tens of thousands, this was a chance to catch him up close and personal.

"We curated a moment where luxury hospitality met the pulse of the Montreal music scene," says Sarah Le bars, Marketing Manager, W Montreal. "The energy was electric. CRi’s performance, paired with the immersive setting of the Living Room, transported our guests into an unforgettable sonic journey. It was one of those 'you had to be there' nights — and next time, be there.”

The night went perfectly with the delicious Patrón margaritas and palomas.

"Music, like tequila, is an art form rooted in passion, precision, and culture. Partnering with Billboard Canada and DJ CRi is a celebration of that shared dedication to craft. We’re proud to be part of a moment that brings together creativity, authenticity, and the pursuit of excellence in such a seamless way," they say of the partnership.

W Montreal actively reflects local music through its programming and facilities, making it a natural partner for the event.

"With Billboard Canada, we’ve set the stage for experiences that truly define W Montreal: unexpected, immersive, and unforgettable," says Alexandre Tessier, Director of Sales and Marketing, W Montreal. "And this was just the beginning."

Expect more exciting events and team-ups between Billboard Canada and W Montreal to come.
