Larisa Santiago: No Soy Tu Niñera

The first Spanish-sung single by the young Brazilian-Canadian artist is a reggaeton burner with real commercial potential.

Larisa Santiago: No Soy Tu Niñera

Larisa Santiago -  No Soy Tu Niñera (Pangaea Music House/Believe): Latin pop is more globally popular than ever before now, and the reggaeton style is similarly hot. That bodes well for this reggaeton track sung in Spanish, by this young Toronto-based Brazilian-Canadian artist.

The cut was co-written by Santiago and producer Medylandia (Medy Capellan) who has gained success with Universal recording artist Alex Veliz.

In a press release, Santiago explains that  “I went into the studio with producer Medylandia for a session and we began bouncing ideas around. I said: ‘Why don't we write about a girl who one day puts her stake in the ground and claims her independence?'"

Capellan comes up with convincing reggaeton riddims, while Santiago's vocals are right on point.

Santiago recently signed a publishing deal with her mentor, industry veteran Tony Tobias. No Soy Tu Niñera (translation:  I Am Not Your Nanny) is Santiago's first Spanish-sung single, on the heels of her debut English pop single Home, a collaboration with Trey Mills.

A young artist to watch.
