Drizzy's Raptors are headed to the NBA Playoffs and Iceman season could be on the horizon.
As a Toronto Raptors ambassador, Drake is a staple in his pair of courtside seats at Scotiabank Arena throughout the regular season.
However, for the Raptors season finale against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday (April 12), Drizzy’s seats were noticeably left open. The 6 God opted for some Iceman album promo, as the seats were turned into a frozen tundra bedazzled with icicles.
“Drake’s seats froze,” the Raptors wrote to X. While the weather heats up heading into spring, it appears Iceman season is finally around the corner.
“The level of self promotion without the label help has been insane. Just goes to show how big of an artist the guy has become,” a fan replied.
The Raptors came away with another victory, throttling the Nets by a score of 136-101 to finish the season at 46-36 and lock up the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Drake tested the waters last year with singles like “What Did I Miss” and “Which One,” the former of which remains the last track from a rapper to enter the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 as it peaked at No. 2.
The OVO boss teased Iceman in March while giving his friend Nelly Furtado her flowers in a video message as the singer was being honored at the Juno Awards. “Enjoy your Hall of Fame status. It’s long overdue. Kill the performance. We love you, dawg. Iceman coming soon,” he said.
Expect to see more of Drake back at Scotiabank Arena later in April, with the Raptors set to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Playoffs. Game one of the series is scheduled for Saturday afternoon (April 18) at Rocket Arena in Cleveland at 1 p.m. ET.
