Fredericton Benefit Concert Offers Strong Response To Local Tragedy

A band of Maritime musicians aided by local radio stations affiliated with Bell Media and Newcap Radio are working together to organize and promote a unity concert for four people, including two constables, shot dead in Fredericton on August 10.


Fredericton Strong Benefit Concert is to be staged Oct. 6 at the 4200-capacity Aitken University Centre with an initial line-up that includes Matt Mays, Matt Andersen & The Mellotones, Classified, Neon Dreams, and Tristan Horncastle. The city’s own David Myles will MC the event.

Organizers say that additional performers are to be announced in the coming days.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 10 am at the Aitken Centre box office
