Canadian music producer Intense has released a new single titled “Ruthless,” featuring Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh

The track is the first from Intense’s upcoming self-titled album and is out now via ADA, the independent distribution arm of Warner Music Group.

In partnership with EYP Creations Canada, Intense recently signed a global distribution deal with ADA for his label Double Up Entertainment, aiming to spotlight the next generation of South Asian talent worldwide. It comes from his upcoming album Intense, which marks the beginning of the partnership.

“This track is a true statement,” Intense says. “It’s aggressive, emotional and completely unapologetic – exactly how we wanted to kick off this album.”

“Ruthless” features an emotional performances from Dosanjh, set against a backdrop of traditional Punjabi folk vocals and Intense’s signature West Coast-style production. The lyrics were written by Intense and Manna Datte Aala.

On Wednesday (June 25), Dosanjh congratulated Intense on his Instagram stories for the release of the new song.

Intense has been a key figure in the Canadian and Indian music industries for the past two decades. His production has earned millions of streams globally, with tracks like “Excuses” – his collaboration with AP Dhillon and Gurinder Gill – becoming one of the most-streamed Punjabi songs to date.

Dosanjh continues to expand his global reach. In the past year, his Dil-Luminati tour became the highest-grossing North American tour by a Punjabi artist, with sold-out shows at BC Place and Rogers Centre. He also performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, collaborated with artists like Sia and Jackson Wang and made his Met Gala debut.

On June 11 at his appearance at the Billboard Summit at NXNE, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) announced it will offer a course on Dosanjh in the fall of 2026.
