FEQ Announces A Star-studded Lineup

By FYI Staff

Now in its 53rd year, Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) bills itself as the largest festival in North America. A look at the just-announced lineup for this year’s event, running July 9-19 at the historic Plains of Abraham outdoor venue in Quebec City, would certainly seem to justify the claim.

This year’s schedule features Alanis Morisette (celebrating the 25th anniversary of seminal album Jagged Little Pill), The National, Young M.A, Halsey,  Rage Against the Machine, Rod Stewart, 5 Seconds of Summer, Garbage, Imagine Dragons, Jack Johnson, Joan Osborne, Tash Sultana, King Crimson, Marshmello, Cat Power, Pennywise, and Vance Joy.

There are plenty of major names from Quebec and across Canada as well, including Andy Shauf, Dallas Smith, Bobby Bazini, Les Louanges, Jeremie Albino, Dizzy, Elisapie, Geoffroy, Grandson, Grimskunk, Half Moon Run, Patrick Watson, Saga, Paul Piché, and many more.

FEQ passes are now on sale for $110 (taxes included, plus shipping), a bargain price given that the festival’s shareable wristbands allow attendees access to the entire 11-day festival. Starting June 9, the cost of the pass will be $115, with a limit of 4 passes/cards per transaction. Passes can be purchased at feq.ca

This year, a major new venue, Parc Grande Allée, will be made up of two stages: the SiriusXM Stage and the Loto-Québec Stage, and will present alternating, uninterrupted performances starting at 6 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on weekends.

Celine Dion Shocked Tiger Woods With Her Hole In One Lyric Change to Biggest Hit: Watch

The singer updated the ballad while answering a question about which one of her songs best represents her golf game.

Celine Dion scored a hole in one on Tuesday (March 4) after ESPN’s Marty Smith asked the singer which one of her classic hits best represents her golf game. Making an appearance at the TGL match between the Atlanta Drive GC and Jupiter Links Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Dion didn’t hesitate.

“Okay,” she laughed, tilting her head forward as fans shouted out requests from the audience. “The one that comes to… oh, some people have suggestions! But that’s good. I would say…,” she continued before busting into the indelible chorus from her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 Titanic smash “My Heart Will Go On.”
