L'Ouest canadien se prépare à célébrer certains de ses meilleurs musiciens.
Le 14 mai, la Western Canadian Music Alliance a dévoilé ses nommés pour les Western Canadian Music Awards (WCMA) 2024.
En tête de la liste des prétendants avec quatre nominations se trouve la vedette folk et roots William Prince, tandis que d'autres artistes reconnus avec plusieurs nominations incluent Miesha And The Spanks, Logan Staats, Ariel Posen, Garrett T. Willie, Fontine, Celeigh Cardinal et Boy Golden.
Les gagnants des prix dans les catégories artistique et industrielle seront dévoilés lors de BreakOut West, qui se tiendra à Saskatoon, en Saskatchewan, du 25 au 29 septembre.
Maintenant dans sa 22e année, BreakOut West développe, soutient et honore le meilleur de la musique occidentale canadienne, avec sa conférence annuelle, son festival et les WCMA.
Le vote pour les WCMA est désormais ouvert aux membres de toutes les associations provinciales et territoriales de l'industrie musicale de l'Ouest. Seuls les membres recevront un courriel concernant les informations de connexion pour voter (veuillez contacter votre association musicale si vous ne recevez pas de courriel). Le vote se terminera à 23 h 59, heure du Pacifique, le dimanche 26 mai.
BreakOut West 2024 commence officiellement le mercredi 25 septembre avec le début de sa conférence de développement de carrière de cinq jours et de son programme industriel international. Il propose du contenu immersif, des analyses approfondies du marché international, des réunions individuelles de mentors, des ateliers et bien plus encore. Plus de 50 artistes de l'ouest du Canada et d'ailleurs se produiront dans plusieurs lieux de la ville hôte. Les bracelets du festival seront annoncés prochainement.
