The World Cup has been the talk of the town for months, and now it’s finally here.

The global soccer tournament has taken over the sports world until July 19. In Toronto, the festivities officially kicked off on June 12. The kick-off show included performances by Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara and Michael Bublé.

On FanDuel Canada, fans can engage with all things World Cup — building from that musical excitement.

It’s not just Toronto that’s celebrating. The World Cup is a global event with ceremonies in cities throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico.

To cap off the global event next month, the first-ever World Cup halftime show will be held at New Jersey’s Met Life Stadium on July 19. A trio of music powerhouses is taking the stage, including Shakira, Madonna and BTS.

Users can wager on the headliners first songs, special guests and total songs performed during halftime. Among bettors, 28% believe “Hips Don’t Lie” will be the opening song, while BTS’s most likely first song is “Hooligan,” currently priced at +170 odds.

Madonna fans can get in on the fun too, with “Bring Your Love” featuring Sabrina Carpenter at -125 odds, making it the most possible outcome.

The global performing acts were selected by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, but the British frontman isn’t scheduled to perform. There are still many who think he could be a surprise guest at -125 odds. Considering he has tracks with Shakira and BTS, it’s highly possible.

Another possible outcome for the special guest will be Burna Boy at -160, which is highly possible considering his charting collab hit with Shakira. A Canadian star could also make an appearance, with Justin Bieber at +150 and The Weeknd at +340. Please play responsibly!

While the games will draw in thousands upon thousands of fans, representing the team — or teams — you’re rooting for is equally important. FanDuel Canada has a unique accessory to show your global sports pride.

According to new Angus Reid research for FanDuel, 43% of Canadian football fans plan to support more than one nation during the tournament.

And during the World Cup, you can cheer for not one, but two teams with the FanDuel Canada’s Dual Fan scarves — each featuring both Canada and another nation.

The Dual Fan scarves feature 47 designs — one for every team competing this summer.

Undoubtedly, a must-have item to sport — no pun intended — it’s a potent symbol of Canada's proudly diverse identity. As the world comes to Toronto and Vancouver, that’s something to celebrate.
