Jessie Reyez is teasing a new collab with one of rap's biggest names.

The Canadian singer has hinted that she's releasing new music with Lil Wayne, posting on Instagram and X "heard a Toronto shordie got 1 wit @LilTunechi," and tagging Wayne. She's also shared a short clip of the track, which finds Reyez and Wayne performing over a slow guitar lick and a crushed up drum fill.

Based off the teaser, it seems like the song is coming August 23. Billboards have also been spotted promoting the upcoming collab.

Reyez hasn't released a full album since 2022's Yessie. But she's done string of singles and collabs since then, including this year's Big Sean-assisted "Shut Up," a sultry trap track.

Jessie Reyez and Lil Wayne previously worked together on Lil Wayne's "Love You, F*ck You,” off his 2020 album Funeral.

The new single will arrive right before Reyez is set to be honoured at the Billboard Canada Women in Music celebration on September 7, where she will receive the Trailblazer Award.

The ceremony will also include guest of honour Alanis Morissette, who will win the Icon Award. The star-studded event will celebrate previously announced honourees Allison Russell, LU Kala, The Beaches and more yet-to-be-announced.

Tickets are available here.

UPDATE:

Jessie Reyez and Lil Wayne's new song, "RIDIN," is out now. You can listen and watch the new music video below.

With an alt-rock influenced beat reminiscent of Pixies' "Where Is My Mind," it's a passionate and lustful song that lets Wayne break out one of his classic witty guest verses layered with multiple entendres.
