Britney Spears Lashes Out at Ex Kevin Federline Again Over Memoir: ‘Why Is HE SO ANGRY’

In the wake a series of salacious excerpts from his upcoming tell-all memoir, Britney Spears lashed out at ex-husband Kevin Federline again in an Instagram post on Thursday night (Oct. 16) in which she claimed that the former dancer is attempting to spin her pain for “profit.”

“To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one as they profit off my pain,” Spears wrote without naming names. “Oh dear Jesus show me there is a God and I can too be loved unconditionally and not have to be so perfect cause it’s really interesting. I 100 percent beg to differ the way he is literally attacking me in his interviews. If truth be told the man in the interview went STRAIGHT TO the SOURCE and said it CLEAR AS DAY… no money from Britney for 5 years you trying to get paid that’s what general America is saying weird you both have moved on… your kids are adults it’s a different world now … why is HE SO ANGRY.”

While Spears, 43, did not say who the “he” is in the post, it appeared she was once more venting about Federline, whose You Thought You Knew memoir is due out on Tuesday (Oct. 21). On Wednesday, Spears bashed Federline for “constantly gaslighting” her, calling his actions “extremely hurtful and exhausting.” In her latest post, Spears lamented that what’s “scary” about the unnamed angry person presumed to be Federline was that “he’s convincing.”

“It literally blows my mind the moments he stops before he cries are you f–king serious … I know his book will sell loads more than mine,” she added in reference to her best-selling 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me. “If you really love someone then you don’t help them by humiliating them. What scared me was how serious and angry he got, people have no idea, it is way worse than anyone could imagine… the boy hates me and it is deep anger to literally say the things he is saying.”

In excerpts from Federline’s book published by the New York Times earlier this week, the 47-year-old claims that one of the couple’s sons allegedly woke up one night to find Spears standing in the doorway holding a knife. Elsewhere, the former Spears back-up dancer claims that the pop star drank wine while she was pregnant and did cocaine when she was breastfeeding. The couple share two grown sons, Jayden, 19 and Preston, 20, with the singer claiming in an earlier post that one of her sons has only seen her for “45 mins in the past 5 years” while the other has visited four times in that span.

In the new note, Spears then appeared to take aim at her estranged mother, Lynne Spears, writing, “As my mother cleverly says, ‘Oh you’re angry, we just love you so much and wish you were here’ … I’m like, WHAT? You called me one time in 6 years and why didn’t you invite me to my son’s bday in Louisiana in my home for 2 weeks? They get entitled with special secrets as they treat me exactly the way my father used to… yes, they secretly love to cast me out and make me feel completely isolated. So, in resolution, guess what I did my friends?”

Spears and Federline were married in Sept. 2004 and divorced in 2007, with Federline telling The Hollywood Reporter this week that the couple’s sons were, “100 percent behind me telling my story,” saying about their relationship with their mother that it is, “fluid and they do talk. They’ve even gone and seen her and stuff.” In 2023, their sons moved to Hawaii with Federline, who was granted full custody of them during Spears 13-year conservatorship.

After the release of the initial excerpts, Spears’ team released a strongly worded statement slamming Federline’s memoir, which also alleges that Spears partied with Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton while her sons cried in another room. “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir,” read the statement.

In the conclusion to her Thursday post, Spears said her solution to the current turmoil in her life was to buy herself a “miniature green house made of all glass,” with a stained glass picture above the door that she calls the “mini house of healing.” She noted that she needs healing now and that she will start the process of repair today (Oct. 17). After a detour into a discussion of the olfactory benefits of freezing flowers, Spears revealed that her birthday wish this year — her bday is Dec. 2 — is to “not fly anywhere” in 2026 and maybe have “coffee, lunch, or dinner with Michelle Pheiffer [sic] and Paris Jackson. It is important to look up to people and still believe in humanity, and there are extremely cool beautiful people here. I will start acting, doing real columns monthly not about me stuff. People are never supposed to talk about controversy shocking topics.”

Jackson, the musician daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson, appeared to respond to Spears in her Instagram Story a short time later, posting a bed selfie with the caption, “ok my sag(ittarius) queen @britneyspears let’s do it!”

Spears also teased that she might even “start my own radio podcast” next year.

The latest missive from the former pop queen who has said she is done with the music industry was followed by a video of an unidentified young child bragging about cleaning their room accompanied by a caption musing about what it would feel like to have unconditional parental love.

“Parenting tips !!! It takes two seconds to call the one you love there’s 24 hours in a day and 365 days a year you can tell your child you are proud of them and love them even if they haven’t done anything !!!” she wrote. “Ps I genuinely wonder what that would feel like I’m serious !!! Would I feel more confident and not alone and prettier and not secretly cleverly abused to the ppint it would drive anyone crazy !!! I’m serious though if I had a family that respected me I genuinely think the world would be a different place 100 percent !!!” God speed my beautiful babies !!! I love you more”
