She’s a hitmaker, beloved actor and TV personality and a true legend in Canadian R&B. Now, Keshia Chanté will add another big thing to her impressive resume: host of Billboard Canada Women in Music 2025.

Keshia Chanté will host the celebration of trailblazing women in the music industry on October 1 at Rebel in Toronto, where The Beaches will be honoured as Women of the Year and Lights will receive Billboard Canada's first-ever Visionary Award.

Chanté has been a force in music and media for more than two decades. She was just 15 when her breakout self-titled album dropped, which spawned classic hits like "Unpredictable" and "Bad Boy" and has since been certified Gold. The album received a special 20th anniversary reissue last year by Sony Music Canada, celebrating her influence and impact in Canada and beyond.

In addition to her decades-long music career, she also broke out as an award-winning TV personality. As a host of BET's top show 106 & Park and later ET Canada, Chanté interviewed everyone from Mariah Carey to Kim Kardashian to Michelle Obama.

Keshia Chanté was a special guest at OVO Fest 2022, where Drake personally introduced her as a "real legend" — calling back to their shared personal history, and her special place in Canadian R&B.

Chanté follows Canadian hip-hop star Haviah Mighty, who co-hosted the inaugural edition of Billboard Canada Women in Music last year. As a trailblazer in music as both an artist and a host, she's the perfect person to lead the powerful celebration this year.

More award winners, presenters and performers will be announced leading up to the Billboard Canada Women in Music 2025 celebration on October 1, 2025, at Toronto's Rebel. A limited number of tickets are available to the public here.
