Three Days Grace Returns to Ontario, City and Colour Plays Two Shows in Alberta: Canadian Concerts of the Week

Three Days Grace are gracing the stage for three shows in their home province. The 2000s rock band are hitting a new peak, following their latest album, Alienation. From No. 1 songs to a powerful dual-lead singer lineup, the group is moving into the biggest era of their career yet.

In addition, Yungblud brings his rock magnum opus, Idols, to Toronto while Copenhagen duo Snuggle performs their dreamy debut album in two Canadian cities. City and Colour celebrates 20 years with a handful of intimate shows, and certified pop hitmaker Charlie Puth proves that he’s a “bigger artist,” playing a nearly sold-out show in Vancouver.

Three Days Grace are riding a wave of major success.

Last year, the band’s song “Mayday” was the No. 1 song on the year-end 2025 Billboard Canada Mainstream Rock chart — and it landed them on the cover of Billboard Canada's Global No. 1s edition. It’s a major feat for the early aughts rockers, who recently reunited with their original lead singer, Adam Gontier, forming a new dual lead-singer lineup alongside Matt Walst that has elevated their artistry.

This week, the group is returning to their home province. While the Norwood, Ontario group dabbled in a handful of shows in their home province last week, they’re kicking down the door, playing three concerts across the region. That's in addition to a special Billboard Canada LIVE acoustic set and Q&A in Hamilton on Sunday afternoon (May 3) in advance of their concert later that that night, as part of the Road to NXNE.

Then, Three Days Grace are set to be on the road for most of the year, playing across their home country and beyond. It’s in support of their latest album, 2025’s Alienation, which has amassed many hits for the group, including “Kill Me Fast,” a song that earned them their 20th Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1 in the U.S.

“It’s still so surreal to me that we've been around for as long as we have been, and we've continuously put out albums that resonate with people,” Gontier told Billboard Canada.

Yungblud, Coca-Cola Coliseum, Toronto — May 2

Bringing his darkness to Toronto, Yungblud is set to play a sold-out show. On the lone Canadian stop on his tour, the British rock singer will perform hits from his latest album, Idols. The record has been a breakthrough for Yungblud, who recently reached No. 1 on the Billboard Canada Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Zombie,” and his Aerosmith collaboration, “My Only Angel.” Meanwhile, their joint EP, One More Time, hit No. 66 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.

Snuggle, Longboat Hall, Toronto — May 1; Bar le Ritz PDB, Montreal — May 2

Get ready to cozy up as the shoegaze Copenhagen duo Snuggle — comprised of Andrea Thuesen and Vilhelm Strange — take the stage for back-to-back nights in Toronto and Montreal. On their debut album, Goodbyehouse, the pair have crafted a sound that blends sweetly melodic dream pop with a sprinkling of lyrical existential angst. Akin to late-night conversations with friends, playing two intimate venues is the perfect setting for the band.

City and Colour, Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, Edmonton — May 2; Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, Calgary — May 4

After a surprise on-stage appearance at Hayley Williams’ second night in Toronto, Dallas Green of City and Colour is heading west to perform his own solo shows. It’s set to be an intimate night as Green celebrates twenty years of performing under the moniker, when the Alexisonfire co-founder says he started “sharing this different side of my musical heart.” He continues: “I'll be playing songs from all across my career, covers, telling stories and I would imagine a few bad jokes here and there.”

Charlie Puth, Thunderbird Sports Centre, Vancouver — May 5

Remember when Taylor Swift declared on The Tortured Poets Department title track: “Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist?” Well, her claim came to fruition. Puth is scheduled for a nearly sold-out night on the west coast, in support of his new album, Whatever’s Clever. The acclaimed singer-songwriter is known for penning irresistibly catchy pop hits. As he brings them to the stage with a natural confidence and ease, he’ll prove just how clever he is.
