Miley Cyrus Announces ‘Vulnerable’ New Album ‘Bass Persuades’ Along With Hollywood Bowl Shows
"It's been a while," the singer wrote of her upcoming performances.

Miley Cyrus has announced her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, along with two rare Hollywood Bowl shows after several days of teasing that she had a new musical era in the works.
The pop star shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday (Sept. 1), revealing the LP’s cover art and release date: Sept. 18. The black-and-white artwork displays her from the shoulders up while she’s holding a rose in her mouth.
“Music takes hold of us,” she wrote in the caption. “We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong.”
“Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between,” she continued. “That’s what the title means to me. Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album.”
The star also uploaded an edgy video of herself shredding on electric guitar in a white jumpsuit, paired with a gritty, thrashing instrumental that likely features on Bass Persuades.
But the Grammy winner had more up her sleeve than the new album. Within minutes of announcing Bass Persuades, Cyrus — who hasn’t toured in years and rarely performs in large venues — told fans on Instagram that she’s planning a two-night stint at the Hollywood Bowl in October to celebrate her next project.
“It’s been a while,” she wrote, noting that the Los Angeles venue is her “favorite place to experience music and see [her] favorite artists.”
“I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage,” she added. “LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there.”
Tickets for the Hollywood Bowl shows on Oct. 16 and 18 will first become available via an American Express presale on Sept. 8. at 10 a.m. PT. Following an artist presale and Reserved by Spotify presale, the remaining seats will become up for grabs starting Sept. 10.

Cyrus’ last album, Something Beautiful, peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in 2025. Before that came 2023’s Endless Summer Vacation, which earned the star an eight-week Billboard Hot 100-topping hit with the Grammy-winning smash “Flowers.”
The star has been gearing up to kickstart her next chapter for more than a week, first with a cryptic billboard teasing the announcement followed by a post on her social media that simply read, “Miley.” Fans noticed at the time that her handle had also changed to omit “Cyrus” from her name.
The beginning of the campaign sadly overlapped with the death of the Hannah Montana alum’s godmother, musical icon Dolly Parton. “The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share,” Cyrus wrote after Parton’s passing. ““I have an angel by my side. I always have.”
