It was a family affair on Sunday (April 14) at Coachella when Lauryn Hill surprised attendees at her son YG Marley’s afternoon set with a run through a few of her solo classics, as well as an unexpected get-together with Fugees bandmate Wyclef for a run through their group’s beloved hits.

Wearing an orange-and-black suit and rocking white beads in her hair, Hill walked out on stage and hugged her second-born son before dropping into The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill solo hit “Ex-Factor,” with Marley running around the stage adding ad-libs throughout.

Hill continued with a fierce dancehall-spiked performance of her debut album’s “Lost Ones,” followed by an on-stage reunion with her Fugees bandmate Wyclef Jean for collaborations on their group’s beloved hits, including “Killing Me Softly,” “Ready or Not” and “Fu-Gee-La”; their third Fugees mate, Pras, did not make an appearance, though YG did justice to his parts while filling in on “Ready or Not.” The family also paid tribute to YG’s late grandfather, reggae superstar Bob Marley, with bits of “One Love” and “Exodus.”

Those who posted up at the Main Stage early also got another surprise when Busta Rhymes and his trusty hype man, Spliff Star, hopped up to blitz through Busta’s hits, “Put Your Hand Where My Eyes Could See” as well as his verse from Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now.”

It was just one of many surprise cameos from Sunday’s star-studded lineup, which also had headliner Doja Cat roping A$AP Rocky, 21 Savage and Teezo Touchdown in for her festival-wrapping set, Will Smith making a surprise appearance during J Balvin’s performance and Justin Bieber hitting the stage with Tems and Wizkid for “Essence.” In addition, Bebe Rexha was joined by David Guetta for their dance smash “I’m Good (Blue),” DJ Snake’s set included pop-ins from Robin S. and Peso Pluma and Lil Yachty tapped indie rocker Mac DeMarco.

Spotify Responds To Drake’s UMG Legal Action, Blasting ‘False’ Claims & Demanding Dismissal

The rapper claims Spotify helped UMG boost Kendrick's "Not Like Us," but Spotify now says the action is a "subversion" of the legal system and never should have been filed.

Spotify is firing back at Drake’s accusations that the streamer helped Universal Music Group artificially boost Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” calling the allegations “false” and blasting the rapper’s legal action as a “subversion of the normal judicial process.”

The new filing is the first response to a petition filed last month in which Drake accused UMG and Spotify of an illegal “scheme” involving bots, payola and other methods to pump up Lamar’s song — a track that savagely attacked Drake amid an ongoing feud between the two stars.
