Alessia Cara, Barenaked Ladies To Headline Official Canada Day Celebration 2026 In Ottawa
The lineup features an eclectic mix of established and rising stars performing at LeBreton Flats Park on July 1, including MICO, Noeline Hoffman, Dominique Fils-Aimé, Pierre Lapointe and more. It will be broadcast live on CBC.

Summer is finally here, and Canada's national day, July 1, is rapidly approaching.
Marc Miller, minister of Canadian identity and culture and minister responsible for official languages, has revealed the official programming for Canada Day 2026.
It's a musically diverse lineup of both established and emerging stars headed by platinum-selling and award-winning artists Barenaked Ladies and Alessia Cara.
They will be featured on the evening show presented at LeBreton Flats Park in Ottawa, and broadcast from 8 to 10 pm ET CBC and Radio-Canada's TV, radio and digital channels. Other artists performing in Ottawa include Adam Baldwin, Beatrice Deer, MICO, Noeline Hoffman, Paul Langlois (The Tragically Hip) and francophone stars Diane Dufresne, Gab Bouchard, Dominique Fils-Aimé, Isabelle Boulay, Pierre Lapointe, Sylvia Cloutier and P’tit Belliveau. Isabelle Racicot takes on the hosting duties. The event will also incorporate segments presented from Moncton, New Brunswick, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, featuring Lisa LeBlanc (Moncton) and Begonia and Andrina Turenne (Winnipeg).
The bilingual national show will be presented simultaneously in American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ).
Last year's July 1 Celebration in Ottawa featured Sarah McLachlan, Blue Rodeo, Tom Cochrane, Cœur de pirate, TALK, Amanda Marshall, Garou, Roch Voisine and Randy Bachman, and festivities also included an indoor afternoon concert at Southam Hall, hosted by the National Arts Centre (NAC) Orchestra featuring a mix of Canadian classics and the "Hymn to Freedom" conducted by Alexander Shelley.
