An estimated 800 people have shelled out $4000 (USD) each to experience a private concert event today (Aug. 17) in an undisclosed location in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Pacific Palisades, featuring The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Ed Sheeran and Van Morrison to support UCLA Health and Teen Cancer America.


It also includes a live auction of some very cool music memorabilia and art, conducted by comedian/actor/TV host/judge Howie Mandel, that will be online as well for global bidders (check out the items at Heritage Auctions). Actor Judd Apatow is the MC for the evening.

The Winnipeg native’s track “Suffer” reaches No. 1 on the Billboard Canada Modern Rock Airplay chart, dated Dec. 6. It knocks “No Rain, No Flowers” by The Black Keys to No. 2.
