New & Upcoming Canadian Albums: The Beaches Announce New Album 'No Hard Feelings'

The Beaches are back. Since the viral success of "Blame Brett" in 2023, the breakout Toronto band have been touring and in the spotlight. But now The Beaches have a whole new album of new material on the way. Fresh from their triumph at The Junos (they won group of the year for the second straight time), they'll deliver No Hard Feelings on Aug. 29 via AWAL. Their big multiple year run will continue with a string of dates including appearances at high-profile festivals Coachella (April 13 and 20) and Montreal's Osheaga (August 3). Meanwhile, artists delivering new albums this week include indie rock veterans Lowest Of The Low, with Over Years and Overnight, Métis singer-songwriter Sister Ray with their debut album, Believer, hotly-tipped Nettwerk signing young friend, with debut album motorcycle sound effects, Kingston rockers Kasador with Kasador 1, Juno-nominated R&B singer-songwriter Melanie Fiona, with Say Yes, jam band veteran Mark Thackway, with a solo EP, Twisted, and Montreal folk-rock duo Endray, with a self-titled EP.

Country turned blues star Crystal Shawanda announced a new record, Sing Pretty Blues (coming April 11), acclaimed roots singer-songwriter Ken Yates will put out Total Cinema on June 6, the pairing of Gordie Tentrees and Jaxon Haldane release Double Takeon May 20 and Montreal dream-pop artist Meggie Lennon puts out a sophomore album, Desire Days, on June 20, and Robert Thomas & The Sessionmen, The Way We Roll, on May 9.

Jelly Roll Reigns Over Billboard Canada Airplay Charts With 'Liar'

The impassioned track takes the No. 1 spot on the All-Format and Canada Country charts this week, while it sits at No. 33 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100. Canadian artist Alex Porat is also making moves on the CHR chart with "Face Like Yours."

"Liar" is on a roll.

The hot single by Nashville's Jelly Roll tops the Billboard Canada All-Format airplay chart this week. The song has spent 11 weeks on the chart, and it dethrones Morgan Wallen's "Love Somebody," which moves to No. 2. Myles Smith's "Stargazing," the chart leader for most of the year to date, falls to No. 4.
