Cardi B will make history at Billboard Canada Women In Music 2026. The superstar rapper will accept Billboard Canada’s first-ever Global Woman of the Year award at the star-studded celebration on November 24 at Rebel in Toronto. Get your tickets here.

Cardi B has made an undeniable impact on the global music landscape. In less than a decade since her breakout single “Bodak Yellow” shot to the top of the Billboard charts, she’s filled the record books with accomplishments: the first female rapper to achieve multiple No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100, the first solo woman to win the Grammy Award for best rap album, the only female rapper to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with her first two albums. She’s nominated for best rap performance at the 2025 Grammys for “Outside,” the hit single from last year’s Am I The Drama? — her 11th Grammy nomination.

She also became the first rapper to be named Billboard’s Woman of the Year in 2020, accepting the award in a powerful, audience-less ceremony during the height of Covid restrictions.

Cardi B will be guest of honour at Billboard Canada Women In Music 2026, where she will be celebrated for her influence and accomplishments worldwide, including Canada where she has racked up 46 charting songs on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, including 8 top 10 hits.

This year’s Little Miss Drama tour was a completely sold-out arena tour throughout North America, another historic feat for a female rapper, with highlight shows at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena and — after some coaxing from Cardi B — Hamilton’s TD Coliseum, where she became the first female artist to headline and the highest-grossing hip-hop show in the venue’s young history.

In a career full of accolades, she has maintained her unfiltered, vulnerable and often hilarious charisma and her impeccable style — which will be on display at Billboard Canada Women In Music — as well as her unbreakable flow, which merges seamlessly with hard-hitting beats, pop hooks and Latin rhythms.

“When I came into the music industry, I didn’t know if people were going to accept me. Throughout the years if you listen to my mixtape, if you listen to my music now, I have progressed because I wanted to progress. I want to be the best I can at anything that I do” she said at Billboard Women In Music in 2020. “There's hope for your dreams.”

This year’s third edition of Billboard Canada Women In Music will be more global than ever, bringing together Canada’s most exciting musicians with the biggest names across the world — as well as luminaries from across the music industry. Recently announced honourees include Executive of the Year, Live Nation Canada’s Melissa Bubb-Clarke, and Impact Award Winner, MusiCounts/CARAS/The Juno Awards’ Kristy Fletcher.
