At this week’s Annual General Meeting, CARAS announced its new board member, Melissa Bubb-Clarke, Vice President of Music & Live Events at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, bringing CARAS one step closer to its goal of gender parity on the Board of Directors by 2020.


 With twenty years of entertainment industry experience, Bubb-Clarke oversees event programming and production at Scotiabank Arena and Coca-Cola Coliseum, as well as Live Nation Canada’s corporate partnerships agency.

Her team has garnered several awards for their innovative sponsorship programs including two Awards of Distinction from the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada and a Canadian Marketing Association Award. She also sits on the board for the Unison Benevolent Fund, is part of the Communications Committee for Music Canada Live, and has served on the Toronto Music Advisory Council and the advisory committee for War Child Canada.

Live Nation Reaches Settlement With DOJ In Antitrust Case, But Some States Will ‘Keep Fighting’

The deal would reportedly include some major structural changes, but would not require Live Nation to divest Ticketmaster.

Live Nation has reportedly reached a settlement with the Department of Justice to resolve federal antitrust accusations without selling Ticketmaster, but several state attorneys general are planning to move ahead with the case.

The settlement, first reported Monday by Politico, would require big concessions from Live Nation including opening Ticketmaster’s platform to rivals, limiting how it uses exclusive deals with venues, and selling several amphitheaters. Live Nation would also pay $200 million to 40 states involved in the case.
