City and Colour and Barenaked Ladies will headline Hayden's fifth annual Dream Serenade concert to benefit the Beverley Street School and other special needs related organizations around Toronto.


Taking place Nov. 17 at Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto, the feel-good concert will also feature Rural Alberta Advantage, Owen Pallett, Hayden, Weaves, Iskwé and "surprise special guests."

Created by veteran indie rocker Hayden Desser and his wife, production designer Christie Greyerbiehl, the annual Dream Serenade event gathers together a who's who of Canadian indie rock (and sometimes international) talent for the special one-night event. Past performers have included the likes of Feist, Gord Downie, Broken Social Scene, Sarah Harmer and Sloan.

Drake Files Appeal to Revive Defamation Case Over Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’

The superstar isn't ready to concede defeat after a judge dismissed his lawsuit against UMG over diss track lyrics that labeled him a "certified pedophile."

It ain’t over yet: Drake has formally launched his appeal of a court ruling that dismissed his defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG) over Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.”

The move on Wednesday is the first step aimed at reversing that ruling, in which a federal judge ruled earlier this month that Drake could not sue over Kendrick’s lyrics that called him a “certified pedophile.” The star’s lawyers, who say millions of fans took that claim literally, had already vowed to appeal the decision.
