BTS Outsizes Beyoncé With It's Second No. 1 Album

BTS’ Map of The Soul: Persona debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart with 18,000 total consumption units, and the highest album and digital song download sales for the week. This is the seven-piece K-pop band’s second straight chart-topper, following 2018’s Love Yourself: Answer.


Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? holds in 2nd place with 13,000 consumption units, including the highest audio-on-demand stream total for the week, and last week’s No. 1 album, Khalid’s Free Spirit, drops to 3, with 10,000 total consumption units.

Recent Grammy winner Anderson.Paak’s Ventura debuts at 4, giving the Ventura, CA his highest charting album to date. It surpasses the No. 17 peak of 2018’s Oxnard.

Other debuts in the top 50 include La Voix 201,9 at 13; Beyoncé’s Homecoming: The Live Album, at 24; and (trio comprised of Brit musician Labrinth, Australian singer Sia and American music producer Diplo) LSD’s self-titled album, at 33.

Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” spends a second straight week at the top of both the Streaming and Digital Songs charts.

Slim Shady received a lyricist credit on "Yukon," which also features background vocals from 2 Chainz.

Justin Bieber returned with his R&B-leaning SWAG album on Friday (July 11). Among the surprises sifting through the 21-track LP, fans discovered that Eminem (Marshall Mathers) is listed as a composer-lyricist on “Yukon.”

However, it’s not what one might think when it comes to a traditional writer or guest vocalist credit on a particular song.
