ScHoolboy Q Reacts After TDE Labelmate SiR's Concert is Cancelled at Drake's Toronto Venue History

SiR was set to perform in Toronto tonight (July 30) at the Drake-co-founded music venue. Rapper ScHoolboy Q, who had his show cancelled there earlier this month, implied there is a ban on artists from Kendrick Lamar's former label after his feud with Drake.

Another last-minute concert cancellation at History in Toronto is causing online speculation related to Drake's feud with Kendrick Lamar.

Los Angeles R&B singer SiR was set to perform at the venue tonight, July 30, but announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the show has been cancelled. The singer stated that the venue cancelled the event even though he says the show was sold out. "Not sure why," he tweeted.

ScHoolboy Q reacted with laughter to the news. The rapper's July show at History was cancelled earlier this month with no reason given, and at the time he took to the same platform to imply it was because of the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. History is a collaboration between Drake and Live Nation.

"CANADIAN POLICE DONT WANT NOBODY FROM TDE PERFORMING.." he wrote. A spokesperson from Toronto Police Service said they had no part in the decision to cancel the concert.

ScHoolboy Q and Lamar are former labelmates on Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), which Lamar left last year, as well as former members of the group Black Hippy. SiR is also on the label and has also collaborated with Kendrick Lamar.

The SiR cancellation follows another Drake-related incident at History just last night (July 29). DJ Scheme, opening for Ski Mask The Slump God, dropped Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss track "Not Like Us" at the venue. He shared a clip of the crowd singing along at full volume.

ScHoolboy Q, meanwhile, made a not-so-cryptic post on X shortly after, which simply read: "HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH 🔵." His followers interpreted it as a reaction to the "Not Like Us" needle drop.

Q had performed at Lamar's June 14 Pop Out event in L.A., where Lamar played "Not Like Us" six times, and also briefly appears in the video for "Not Like Us."

He's been having bad luck with concert dates recently, with a Chicago date postponed due to the CrowdStrike/Microsoft outage, which affected airlines. At least he's getting some laughs in.

Wasserman Fallout: Every Artist Who Has Spoken Out Over Founder’s Epstein Ties (Updating)

Clients of Casey Wasserman's namesake agency have begun defecting after his relationship to Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell came to light.

On Thursday (Feb. 5), Best Coast frontwoman Bethany Cosentino was the first artist signed to the powerful Wasserman agency to speak out over revelations that its founder and CEO, Casey Wasserman, had carried on a flirtatious relationship with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell — the main accomplice of convicted child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein — after the latest tranche of 3 million files in the Epstein case was released. Expressing anger over Wasserman’s apology, in which the executive said he “deeply regret[s]” his communications with Maxwell, Cosentino called for Wasserman to step down from his post and for the agency to change its name, among other demands.
