If your name is Janice, Drake has an apology for you.
According to Virgin Radio Toronto, the 6 God is throwing a special party this Sunday at Toronto’s Cactus Club on Adelaide Sreet West from 1 to 4 pm, exclusively open to people named Janice. The event is meant to serve as an apology to all Janices of the world after the rapper named one of his Iceman cuts “Janice STFU,” referencing a vocal sample on the song. Given the phrase's confrontational undertone, Drake wants to make amends with any Janices who may have taken offence.
The Toronto hitmaker will also be hosting special Janice parties in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Houston, as revealed in an Instagram story that he posted this evening which shows a bin full of envelopes. "All my Janice's in NY, LA, HOU, MIA, TO. Look out for my invitation for Sunday 👀👀👀👀," he wrote.

The melodic hip-hop song quickly became the breakout hit from Drake’s three albums that dropped in May, Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti, topping the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and holding the top spot in Canada for three weeks, surpassing “Jimmy Cooks” to become Drake’s longest-running No. 1 song in Canada this decade. The catchy track went viral on TikTok for its memorable chorus which interpolates Lykke Li’s dance anthem “I Follow Rivers,” with the Swedish singer even acknowledging the track and telling Rolling Stone that she had been craving Drake music.
“I think it’s potent. It has that raw, revenge, hip-hop energy,” she said of the song.
Few details are currently known about the event, but there’s one criterion required for entry to the exclusive afternoon party: having a valid ID that proves your first name is Janice.
It’s the latest in a set of high-profile stunts from the rapper. Back in April, Drake had eyes from all over the world on Toronto after installing a giant ice sculpture in the downtown area with his album date hidden inside. He also set up a controlled explosion and took over the CN Tower, keeping fans on edge right up until the grand reveal of his surprise album trilogy.
