Dreams came to life at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto this weekend.

Punjabi-Canadian star Karan Aujla kicked off his It Was All A Dream Tour on Saturday, August 10 to thousands of excited fans.

The performance marked the start of Aujla's first-ever Canadian tour, and the arena concerts show his already major popularity. He plays Edmonton's Rogers Place next on August 15 and then Vancouver's Rogers Arena on August 17, before heading across the pond for a series of UK dates.

Aujla performed new material like "IDK" and "ANTIDOTE" off his recent Four Me EP, plus his Bollywood single "Tauba Tauba," written for the movie Bad Newz. He also brought out fan favourites from his 2023 album with producer Ikky, Making Memories — the highest-charting Punjabi album debut in the history of the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.

Preston Pablo collaboration "Admirin' You" had the whole arena singing along, lit up by phone flashlights.

Putting on an arena-level production, Aujla performed with a live band and brought out back-up dancers for some of his more upbeat songs. He also took a moment amidst the hype to remember his parents, who died when he was a kid, asking the crowd to make some noise for them.

An emotional moment for #KaranAujla with over 16,000 fans selling out Scotiabank Arena in #Toronto where he remembered his late parents and no doubt how proud they must have been.

The crowd seemed thrilled to see Aujla performing on a major Canadian stage, chanting his last name and dancing from their seats.

The adoration affirms Aujla's ascent as one of Punjabi music's biggest stars, following his Juno win earlier this year for the Fan Choice award.

His milestone year is part of the Punjabi Wave, which is only growing. Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh made history in April with a stadium show in Vancouver, the largest Punjabi music event outside of India.

Based on the year Karan Aujla has had so far, it's not hard to imagine him taking on a stadium stage next.

‘I Love You Guys a Little Bit Extra’: 7 Best Moments From Tate McRae at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena

Playing one of the country's biggest arenas, the Canadian pop star owned the stage at the first of two sold-out shows in Toronto.

Tate McRae is having another chart-topping year.

Her third album, 2025’s So Close To What, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. After "Greedy" topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2024, she now has three songs actively charting on the Canadian Hot 100, including “Sports Car,” “Just Keep Watching,” from the F1 soundtrack and “What I Want,” a duet with country star Morgan Wallen. Last week, she topped Spotify’s Canadian Global Impact List, which highlights the Canadian artists whose songs are most listened to outside of their home countries.
