"Pink Pony Club" is dominating the Canadian airwaves, reaching No. 1 on this week's Hot AC chart (dated May 17). It dethrones ROSÉ and Bruno Mars' "APT." which previously held the top spot for seven consecutive weeks.

Chappell Roan's track has dominated across different charts so far, though radio is the spot it's managed to hit the apex.

Although it has yet to notch the top spot, it has held steady at No. 2 on the Canadian Billboard Hot 100 over the past six weeks. It also cracked the top 5 of the U.S. Hot 100, peaking at No. 4 (chart dated April 26).

The five-year-old track first hit the Hot AC chart back in February (chart dated Feb. 22), entering at No. 37 following Roan's performance of the song at the Grammy Awards. "Pink Pony Club" was first released as a single in 2020 and later included on her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess in 2023, taking off after her rapid ascent.

This week's chart also includes significant gains from Canadian artists, as Alexander Stewart's breakup track "His Problem Instead" rises to a new peak of No. 9 after entering the top 10 last week. The chart also includes four new debuts, two of which are from Canadian artists.

London singer-songwriter John Fellner earns the highest debut with his indie-folk track "Broke Skin," which enters at No. 34. The song also rises one spot on the CHR/Top 40, reaching a new peak of No. 31 after debuting at No. 32 last week.

Nearby, Toronto singer LU KALA debuts "Cry Baby" at No. 37, which also spends a 17th week over on the CHR/Top 40 chart. The remaining debuts are Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "Luther" (No. 39) and Mumford and Sons' "Rushmere" (No. 40).

Canadian artists also extend French-language music's presence on the Canada AC chart. Clément James and Marie-Mai debut at No. 30 on this week's chart with "Picture (v.f.)," a French cover of the Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow duet of the same name. It joins "Jouer" by Ariane Moffatt (No. 23), marking the third consecutive week where two French songs appear on the chart.

Last week it was "Merci ben!" by the iconic Quebec band Les Cowboys Fringants, which coincidentally also debuted at No. 30.

Wasserman Fallout: Every Artist Who Has Spoken Out Over Founder’s Epstein Ties (Updating)

Clients of Casey Wasserman's namesake agency have begun defecting after his relationship to Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell came to light.

On Thursday (Feb. 5), Best Coast frontwoman Bethany Cosentino was the first artist signed to the powerful Wasserman agency to speak out over revelations that its founder and CEO, Casey Wasserman, had carried on a flirtatious relationship with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell — the main accomplice of convicted child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein — after the latest tranche of 3 million files in the Epstein case was released. Expressing anger over Wasserman’s apology, in which the executive said he “deeply regret[s]” his communications with Maxwell, Cosentino called for Wasserman to step down from his post and for the agency to change its name, among other demands.
