Art of Dying and The Hyphen Code’s have teamed up for a rock song burning up the Billboard Canada Airplay charts.

The two Vancouver rock groups' “Alone” debuts at No. 32 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart this week, dated Oct. 31.

Blending Art of Dying’s heavy riffs and bold vocals with The Hyphen Code’s emotional rawness and soaring guitar production, “Alone” is a match made in Canadian hard rock heaven. The song is produced by Brian Howes, who has worked with two of the country’s most successful bands: Nickelback and Simple Plan.

Despite its title, “Alone” seems to focus less on loneliness and more on the emptiness left in the wake of someone’s absence. Art of Dying’s frontman Jonny Hetherington says the song helped him reconcile with the death of his father and the birth of his daughter.

It’s that “raw vulnerability” that Rachel Kline of The Hyphen Code says inspired her. “I loved getting to explore that [vulnerability] with my voice. It builds into something so powerful, and getting to bring that emotion to life was incredibly special.”

Tate McRae’s No. 1 Hit Lands on Contemporary/Top 40 and Hot Adult Contemporary Radio

Earlier this week, Tate McRae earned her second No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 with “Housewife." The empowering anthem has landed on two Billboard Canada Airplay charts this week. It debuts at No. 28 on Contemporary Hit Radio/Top 40 and No. 30 on Hot Adult Contemporary. "Housewife" is McRae's first single of the year, after her chart-topping album, So Close to What, in 2025.

Josh Ross, Aaron Goodvin and More Bring Their Country Hits to Multiple Charts

On the All-Format chart, Ontario’s own Josh Ross arrives at No. 42 with “Drink Things Through.” It’s already a hit on Canada Country, rising 29-25 in its third week on the chart.

Meanwhile, Aaron Goodvin’s “Not Too Much To Hate” debuts at No. 58, and Quebec group Blue Ridge Band arrives at No. 60 with “Loving You Is Easy.”

Finger Eleven, Charlotte Cardin and Dallas Smith Round Out This Week’s Debuts

In addition to The Hyphen Code and Art Of Dying’s Mainstream Rock debut, Finger Eleven have a new debut at No. 35 with “Last Night On Earth,” the title track of their latest album.

The song's arrival comes a few weeks after the Canadian hard rock group shared an open call for a duet partner on a rendition of the track. That version will be included on a deluxe edition of the project, released on Nov. 6.

Guitarist Rick Jackett says that on Last Night on Earth "it was time to go back and embrace that bigness of the sound. Even the soft songs sound big."

Meanwhile, Charlotte Cardin’s “Memories” debuts at No. 34 on CHR/Top 40, a week after hitting the Canadian Hot 100. At No. 40, Dallas Smith debuts “Good Time Goes,” marking the singer's latest entry on the Airplay charts. Over on All-Format, it drops 13-16 and enters the top 15 on Country at No. 12.

Cameron Whitcomb, Nickelback and More Hold Down Their Respective No. 1 Spots

At the top, there is minimal movement. Cameron Whitcomb’s “Kingdom of Fear” maintains its No. 1 spot on All-Format and is followed by Stella Lefty’s “Boston” at No. 2.

Taylor Swift's " Patient Zero " sits atop Adult Contemporary, while Zara Larsson’s “Midnight Sun” comes in at No. 2. Larsson’s pop hit comes in at No. 2 on Hot AC, as well, while Tame Impala and JENNIE continue to sink their teeth into the top spot with “Dracula.”

On CHR/Top 40, Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” holds down the top spot, while Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” climbs 4-2.

Morgan Wallen’s “Been By Now” spends another week at the top on Country.

On the Rock Airplay charts, Nickelback and John 5 spend another week at No. 1 on Mainstream Rock, and Cage the Elephant’s “Beaches In Tennessee” continues its chart-topping streak at 15 weeks on Modern Rock.

Celine Dion Makes Record-Breaking $125 Million Comeback in Paris

The first leg of her French residency wrapped with historic results.

The last time Celine Dion was on tour, she and her fans alike were unaware that concert venues (and the rest of the world) were about to close completely for more than a year. The Courage World Tour kicked off in September 2019 and generated more than $100 million before hitting pause in March 2020. On the other side of the COVID-19 shutdown, Dion delayed her return several times before officially canceling the remainder of the tour in 2023 due to her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome. But don’t fret: Three years later, Dion is back and bigger than ever with record-breaking Boxscore figures.
