Universal Music Canada surprised The Tenors at their Toronto concert at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts with the news that their second yuletide songbook album, Christmas Together, achieved Gold certification status.


This is not the first award earned by the ensemble. The group's self-titled album is Double Platinum status; The Perfect Gift is Triple Platinum; Uner One Sky is certified Gold; and the DVD and album version of Lead With Your Heart, Live in Las Vegas is Gold and Platinum respectively.

The announcement arrives seven years after the Ford government scrapped part of the Ticket Sales Act in 2019, which capped ticket resale prices at 50% above the original price.

Doug Ford is coming for ticket resellers.

The Ontario Premier has announced that the provincial government plans to ban ticket resale transactions at prices exceeding face value, making it illegal for tickets to concerts, cultural, sports and other live events to be resold for more than their original cost.
