Billboard Canada is set to honour the next generation shaping the country’s music landscape with the debut of its 40 Under 40 celebration, taking place Nov. 20, 2025, at W Toronto.

For years, Billboard’s 40 Under 40 has spotlighted rising executives and innovators transforming the global music business. Now, the Canadian edition will turn the focus homeward — recognising a new wave of talent redefining how the industry operates across management, live events, streaming, labels and more.

The evening will bring together honourees, artists and industry leaders for a celebration of achievement and collaboration within Canada’s fast-evolving music scene. Tickets for the event are now available here.

“Canada’s music industry is thriving with new energy and ambition,” says Richard Trapunski, National Editor of Billboard Canada. “This list is about highlighting the emerging voices whose creativity and drive are shaping what’s next.”

Following the success of other Billboard Canada franchises like Power Players, Women in Music and Music Managers to Watch, the new 40 Under 40 initiative will extend that momentum — giving a global platform to Canadians making an impact at every level of the business.

Selected through nominations from peers and colleagues, honourees will represent a cross-section of the country’s most promising professionals under the age of 40, chosen for their measurable influence, leadership, and chart presence.

The inaugural celebration marks a major step in Billboard Canada’s mission to champion the people powering the future of music in Canada and beyond.
