Drake often makes it a point to give back and uplift the women in his life, and he achieved that once again on Tuesday (Aug. 4) when he hosted his third annual Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event in Toronto.

Women pulled up to the Casa Loma mansion and each was greeted with a welcome gift, which came in the form of $1,000 in cash, according to social media posts.

Drizzy explained during a speech captured on video that he started Strong Women, Stronger Drinks and based it on an event he attended around 2007-2008.

“There was an event by a lovely woman,” he began. “She used to do an event called What Women Want. It was essentially women gathering to network, to socialize and to be a man at the event, you had to work. I always loved that aspect of it. We would show up and work the event because that’s what the event was about.”

He went on to explain how the evening worked. “What we’ve done is sent out an invite list. All of you who are doing incredible things in your respective fields,” he shared during his speech. “Whether you’re grinding or ascending to the moon, or somewhere in between. We hope that you can be social, talk to each other, learn from each other, and we have an incredible evening for you.”

He continued: “We’ll do some giveaways and hopefully change some lives and then we’ll go inside and get drunk and do what we’re supposed to do.”

Drake wasn’t kidding when it came to his claims of changing the lives of the lucky women in attendance. Heartwarming clips surfaced on social media and went viral of Drizzy gifting women with $50,000 and $100,000 prizes.

The 6 God even raffled off luxury cars, with one woman winning a brand new BMW, while Toronto Raptors reporter Kayla Grey went home with a Mercedes Benz G-wagon.

2026 has been a busy campaign year for Drake, as he returned to release his ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR trifecta in May. The drops made the OVO boss the first artist to hold the top three slots of the Billboard 200.
