Justin Bieber is the most listened-to artist on Spotify.
The Canadian pop-R&B singer reached 138 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform, surpassing pop hitmaker Bruno Mars, who dropped to 136 million.
Spotify’s monthly listeners metric measures how many distinct users have played at least one track from an artist over the past 28 days.
This marks Bieber’s return to the top spot in nearly five years, when he hit 83 million monthly listeners back in 2021. During that time, he broke streaming records for the platform, scoring the biggest number in the DSP's then-15-year history.
The record coincided with the release of The Kid LAROI and Bieber’s hit “Stay,” which spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 — the latter’s second-longest song at the top. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” remix featuring Bieber, sat at No. 1 for 16 weeks.
Now, Bieber’s return to No. 1 follows his hotly contested Coachella sets, which were infused with many throwback performances, and special guests including SZA, Big Sean and Billie Eilish throughout the two weekends in April.
Over the past year, the Stratford, Ontario native has experienced a streaming renaissance. During the latter half of 2025, he ranked among Spotify’s most-streamed Canadian artists alongside homegrown acts such as Tate McRae, Daniel Caesar and Karan Aujla, topping the global impact list with the track “Daisies,” the biggest single from his chart-topping Swag album.
In January, he scored his newest entry in Spotify’s Billions Club with the Chance the Rapper-featuring “Confident,” from 2013’s Journals, which recently landed on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart for the first time, hitting No. 96.
Post-Coachella, Bieber’s streams skyrocketed with some of his decade-old hits re-surging on streaming platforms. On the charts, multiple of his songs and albums re-entered the Canadian Hot 100 and the Canadian Albums rankings after his headlining sets at the music festival. Last week, “Beauty and a Beat,” featuring Nicki Minaj, zoomed to No. 4 on the Canadian Hot 100, marking its highest chart placement since its 2012 release.
Bieber joins The Weeknd and Drake in the streamer’s top 10 artists with the most monthly listeners at 115 million and 88 million, respectively.
In addition, Spotify has published the most-streamed artists on the platform annually since 2013. In previous years, Bieber has ranked in Spotify’s top 5 most-streamed artists, notably in 2016 at No. 2 behind Drake and in 2021 at No. 5, which Bad Bunny topped.
