Daniel Caesar Teases Possible New Album, ‘Son of Spergy’
The Canadian R&B singer posted a cryptic video to his Instagram, while also linking to a website with a new song snippet.

Daniel Caesar is teasing new work.
Today, the Toronto R&B singer and songwriter shared a video on Instagram, with a caption that reads: “Son of Spergy. 2025 **.” The two-and-a-half-minute clip shared features a moving body of text overlayed on an open field. Its final sentence reads: “I am Spergy’s son, and in my spirit, I am God’s.”
Aside from the lone post, his Instagram has been completely wiped, with a new profile picture and bio that reads: “God is the greatest,” and directs fans to a website — sonofspergy.com. Additionally, he shared an image of the Kabbalistic tree of life (a central symbol in Kabbalah, a Jewish mystical tradition) to his Instagram story, with a link to the site. Caesar’s other social media channels remain untouched.

On the website is another video, featuring a clip of Caesar walking into a body of water with music playing in the background. The video is spliced with title cards that read: “WALK BY FAITH,” “NOT BY SIGHT,” and “HAVE A BABY (WITH ME),” — the latter of which listeners can hear a snippet of what sounds like a new song as the video abruptly ends.
If Sons of Spergy is a new album, it would come two years after Caesar’s 2023 record, Never Enough, which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.
Recently, Caesar was credited as a songwriter on Justin Bieber’s Swag track, “Devotion,” and performed an intimate Billboard Canada Live show at The Mod Club during NXNE, where he performed a new song called "Moon" as well as acoustic renditions of songs from throughout his catalogue.
For fans who sign up to Caesar’s newsletter, a confirmation message reads: “You’re on the mailing list. Well done. Stay ready, any minute now.”
No further details were given about an exact release date, but it looks like fans won’t have to wait too long to hear what's next from Daniel Caesar.
