NXNE 2026 artist applications are officially open.

The legendary Toronto festival is set to run from June 10 to 14, 2026, across more than 20 venues in downtown Toronto.

Musicians from around the world can now apply via the NXNE website, with selected acts set to perform 40-minute showcase sets as part of Canada’s leading discovery music festival. This is your chance to be a part of Canada’s largest discovery music festival and play at some of Toronto’s most iconic music venues.

The call for applications comes on the heels of NXNE 2025, the festival’s milestone 30th anniversary year and the first in a new strategic partnership with Billboard Canada. NXNE reaffirmed its role as a launchpad for new voices while celebrating its legacy as one of North America’s longest-running multi-venue music events. From Daniel Caesar’s intimate acoustic performance at the Mod Club to Khalid’s high-energy set at Sankofa Square, the 2025 edition met major headline moments with opportunities for discovery for up-and-coming Canadian talent.

Caesar and The Beaches played NXNE as rising artists, and enjoyed homecomings at this year's festival, while rising names such as Ruby Waters and renforshort drew acclaim for their compelling showcases.

By staging performances in intimate clubs, bustling bars, and large outdoor venues, NXNE continued to reflect the diversity of Toronto itself while giving audiences a chance to stumble upon their next favourite act.

For artists considering applying, NXNE stresses that originality, live presence, and authenticity are key. Past editions have demonstrated the festival’s commitment to diversity — not just across genres, but also in representing artists of different backgrounds, identities, and creative visions. With the festival’s reputation for drawing industry scouts, media, and thousands of fans, the platform can be a springboard for careers.

Applications will only be accepted through the official NXNE Artist Application Portal. Full guidelines, deadlines, and FAQs are available at nxne.com.

On the day of the release of his deluxe album i (still), sabotage and his intimate Billboard Canada LIVE performance, the star Vancouver DJ talked about his new song "The Way" and his search for genuine connection with his audience.
