A hip hop legend linked up with one of Toronto's biggest stars, teasing a potential collaboration on the horizon.

50 Cent was in town this weekend for a Saturday (July 20) performance at Rebel night club, as well as a refreshing pit stop at Cabana Pool Bar earlier in the day. While on the ground in Toronto, he met up with Drake to talk possible upcoming projects.

"Brain 🧠 storming last night," 50 wrote on Instagram, "biggest ting on your TV."

Drake referenced the Queens rapper in his diss track "Push Ups," amidst his now-infamous feud with Kendrick Lamar.

"Drop and give me 50, drop and give me 50, ayy / N----s really got me out here talkin' like I'm 50, ayy / N-----s really got me out here rappin' what I'm livin'," he rapped, before going on to taunt Rick Ross.

50 was a fan of the track, posting (since deleted) praise on Instagram. At his Ottawa Bluesfest performance this summer, 50 also joked about Ross getting attacked at a Vancouver show while Lamar's Drake diss "Not Like Us" was playing.

50's Instagram followers shared both positive and negative comments in the comments, with some joking Kendrick made Drake go back to acting.

No word on what kind of project Drake and 50 might be working up, though at this point there's been enough drama from the feud to fill a miniseries.

Meet the Swiss Investment Firm Behind The Weeknd and Lyric Capital’s Billion-Dollar Deal

Partners Group bought royalty backed notes to finance a joint venture that gives Lyric a 25% equity stake and allows The Weeknd "creative freedom" over publishing and master rights.

The Weeknd and Lyric Capital‘s deal to move the Starboy artist’s back catalog into a new joint venture was financed through royalty-backed notes bought by the Swiss-based investment firm Partners Group, according to a press release.

The Weeknd’s masters catalog and Lyric Capital raised $1 billion — including $750 million in debt — in a deal that gave Lyric a 25% equity stake in artist Abel Tesfaye‘s masters, Billboard reported earlier in December. Partners said on Wednesday that The Weeknd will maintain “freedom to utilize the publishing and masters’ rights over the catalog” in the new vehicle, which it financed through the purchase of royalty-backed notes bought with client funds from its cross-sector royalty strategy.
