Shawn Mendes Gushes About Girlfriend Bruna Marquezine in Birthday Post: ‘You’ve Truly Changed My Life’
The 27-year-old singer and the 31-year-old Brazilian actress/model reportedly began dating in December.

Shawn Mendes did not hold back on his infatuation with reported girlfriend Bruna Marquezine in a sweet Instagram post celebrating the Brazilian model/actress’ 31st birthday.
The post’s caption read, “Feliz aniversário my baby,” adding, “You are a light and a mãe in every room you walk into. Not to be tooooo sappy but you’ve truly changed my life, and I am so so grateful for you.” Mendes, 27 and Marquezine reportedly began dating in December.
Mendes also included a message in Marquezine’s native Portuguese that read: “Eu te amo muito muito muitoo,” which translates to “I love you so, so, so much”. “We all do amor…” The post featured footage of a visit to Rio de Janeiro’s Casa Amarela Providência, a cultural center in the city’s oldest favela that provides a safe space for local children to learn, create and develop their artistic skills, offering artistic and cultural programming including dance, music, entrepreneurship and English-language classes.
The post featured videos of Mendes and Marquezine visiting the center, with the actress getting a boisterous reception from the room of amped-up kids who rushed over to smother her in hugs. In another video, Marquezine sang and danced excitedly as the children sang and clapped in her honor.
Mendes is also featured in a video in which a little girl gives him a big hug and another student approaches with a disposable camera and he tells her, “tira más fotos,” which translates to “take more pictures.” The final slide features Marquezine smiling as she poses with an adorable fluffy dog. Mendes also included a cute black and white pic of the couple goofing off while poking through a slot in a rooftop in his Instagram Story.
Mendes previously dated his “Señorita” duet partner Camila Cabello from 2019-2023. The singer released his fifth studio album, Shawn, in Nov. 2024, which debuted at No. 26 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
